Tatum has quickly become the #3 guy on the Celtics' totem pole, after Irving and Horford. Remarkable for a 19 yo kid. Just watched the replay of that Hawks game on NFL network. His key corner  3 pointer at the end sealed it.

I don't know if Hayward would be much better at this point. The kid shows remarkable maturity on the court, and can shoot the eyes off the ball. He has superstar potential.

Jaylen is above him on the totem pole right now.

The most amazing thing about Tatum is that he has the demeanor of a guy who's been tearing apart the NBA for a decade. Never gets rattled, never forces anything, it's really impressive for someone of his age and experience level.

yeah. Kid is gonna be special and his poise is incredible.

He has clearly had jitters in each of his debuts (SL, preseason, regular season) but its remarkable to watch how fast he settled it. Takes him about 10 minutes to calibrate himself to the new competition and then its as if hes been here for 10 years.

Tatum is fantastic and will likely be slightly better than Hayward is now in a few years, but are people on here kidding me?  Hayward put up 23.2 / 6 / 3 / 1 steal on 44/41/93 shooting in the playoffs last year.  He's a fantastic second best player to have on the team.  He makes a lot happen.  He made like 4 3s a game in the playoffs, too.

I don't think he is. I would rather have Tatum in the game then Brown. He's more polished.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
