"Kyrie Irving doesn't (and didn't) want to return to #Cavaliers. Isaiah Thomas and Jae Crowder feel betrayed by #Celtics. Deal will get done."https://mobile.twitter.com/AdamMKaufman/status/901526905836515329"Cavs like All-Star PG, 3/D wing & promising big from Celtics. But publicly/privately, they're thrilled about pick. Hard to see trade voided. "https://mobile.twitter.com/JeffZillgitt/status/901462672142684160The cavs privately have popped champagne on receiving the Brooklyn pick. But now they're pretending it.wasn't enough? Wow

I'd give them all the second rounders they want, but I'd limit any first rounder to one of our own or the lottery-protected Clippers pick. No LAL pick or Memphis pick or any other player added to the deal.

No LAL pick or Memphis pick or any other player added to the deal.I think giving them our 2018 First with (light) protections is the way to go. We're too far to turn back at this point, and I'm assuming that IT is effectively valueless both on the court and as an asset. If he is out for a portion/all of the season, we'd also really be hurting Cleveland. They'd probably have to go so far as to dangle the Brooklyn pick for point guard help.
are the Celtics allowed to pull out of the deal once the Cavs demand more?I'm guessing not. If I were Danny I would say the Brooklyn pick makes the deala go as is. Nothing more. And I'll bet the Cavs take it, but hope they don't.
