At end of day, this is Danny and Stevens saying Kyrie is our alpha superstar and the hell with 18 pick. They must truly believe this and I pray they are right.

Two things:


1) The ceiling for the team over the next 5 years, assuming we re-sign Kyrie, just got higher.

2) The team just got a lot less likable in the short term.  Perhaps Kyrie will end up a beloved Celtic.

I am a " trust in ainge" guy and worry about IT's defense and hip. But this is a tough one for me to take.

If this goes the way written above, ainge better be right. 

But I can see ainge thnking.

I think Kyrie is better long term vs IT but I wouldn't throw that much at him...i wonder if an extension is already in place?
