I don't know if Zizic will ever be a big time starter, but this post made me think. What if he was on the 76'ers instead? He would never get any better being surrounded by a bunch of young guys who are clueless and losing. At least he is here and is playing with people who want to win and know how.Kid wants to be good...that's a start.
The only thing we know for sure from Zizic's summer league play is that Danny is obsessed with drafting slow, unathletic big men.I wouldn't get your hopes up... Unless you're hoping for a Tyler Zeller replacement.

Unless you're hoping for a Tyler Zeller replacement. I think he is the Tyler Zeller replacement this year. Zizic boxes out and plays a physical brand of basketball. He will be good in certain match ups. He has a high motor and will ware on some of the big centers in the league...
Frankly, he just needs to learn to play within his limitations, and do a great job of boxing out. That is really all we need from a back up big for this team. I have tempered my expectation that he someday could be Al Horford's replacement as our starting big. Just can't picture that ever occurring.
The actual way he would get minutes on this team is by hitting the outside shot while also grabbing rebounds, something Baynes can't do.

That is going to be the same this year. Even if Stevens likes other things from other positions, he still needs guys who rebound and play inside to play at times. Al is not a full time C and wasn't used that way last year at all.
