And yet there's people on here that want him to start at the 2. Lol

He did well in AB's absence. I remember the team having a 4-1? (not sure) record when JB is starting along with IT.
Like I said, small sample size relatively meaningless.
So ~15 solid games and an nba starter is meaningless and too small a sample size but 2 summer league games is good?

He's been dissapointing but let's not overreact to a couple ducking summer league games.

I'd probably start him at the 2.

Not because he's good, but more because we need Marcus to run the second unit.
Marcus will run the second unit...when hayward starts at the 2.
See I would do that, but I we need someone quick enough to guard ballhandlers starting next to thomas. Brown at least has the quickness to stay with a lot of ballhandlers.

snooooooze  Summer League over-reaction.  Happens every year.  Gotta take the whole body of work into consideration, not a few pick up games.

I laid out his issues.  Shooting, ball handling (which is super important), and half court awareness.  So I don't recall the 15 game stretch but I'm pretty sure the issues I'm pointing out we're there then too.

So summer league, sample size, whatever.  What does matter are the core issues.

So two summer league games mean more?

I mean he's looked rough tonight, but there have been positives. He has 3 assist, and has for the most part done a good job distributing the ball. He could easily have 5-6 assists tonight. Also, despite the complaining about his handling he's done a good job generating space between him and his man, just isn't hitting shots. I mean think of it this way, he already arguably has better court vision and passing ability than Avery Bradley, who managed to start at 2 guard for years. He needs to tighten his handle and improve shooting off the dribble, lets not over react to two games.

Relax. It's summer league. They're pushing his comfort zone. There's no way he will ever be ready to be a playmaker if they don't push his comfort level in game like situations. He's not ready yet but I do think he's better than last season. He has several NBA qualities and will get plenty of burn this season. No reason to worry.

Good stuff.

Isn't his next year only his third out of high school?  Holy fudge,  think about how young that is...

I'm going to check the first summer league games thread to see how many of you were calling for overreactions.  Game where he scored, but was also often out of control and had seven turnovers.

And are poeple incapable of reading?  I've pointed out the issues.  Summer league is where he's se issues.

IT can't guard anyone, I am sorry...
