I loved Avery - perfect Celtic.  Started out as D only and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.  Worked his ass off and became a very very good player.  Really hate to see him go but I do understand it.  Most here think Morris was a good deal.  I know nothing about Morris.  Really think he'll start?  Is his D any good?  We need a Posey and KG for D.

I wonder if there's some plan to play Hayward at the 2, Crowder at the 3, and Morris at the 4 alongside Horford.

guess Crowders contract was just TOO valuable to trade .

Maybe we get KLove from Cavs after Bron flies the coupe

I really liked Bradley as a player and a man. I felt he came into the team at the same level as a James Young, but really worked on his craft while maturingas a human being. Last of the Big Three era. Sad tinder him go but hopefully it'll lead to a big payday.

Avery Bradley = terrific two way player who improves every season

Marcus Morris = undersized medicore PF who doesn't rebound or defend well for his position

nice trade, Danny....

This stinks.

I love AB. Hard to see him go but the writing was on the wall. No way C's would be able to keep him next year. I hope he plays great this year and gets a big pay day. That guy deserves some recognition. Has developed and become better and better every single season he's been in the league.

This wasn't necessarily a trade for talent  (see salary situations).

Love it! Really love the fit that Morris brings us at the 4, and the Celtics/Wiz intrigue just got even greater!
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Does this move mean that Jamal Crawford is coming to Boston?

Opens a spot to possibly bring back Gerald Green, Tony Allen, or get Jamal Crawford if they decide they want a SG.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Exactly the kind of deal I was hoping for - productive PF on a fantastic multi-year contract for the one player we weren't going to be able to keep next year. We now can sign Hayward without losing additional players.

AB might have been my favorite Celtic - a true professional. You will certainly be missed. I hope you become a very rich man next offseason, AB!

Morris is a good fit as a PF who can hit 3's in Brads system.

I hope so. He regressed last year in Detroit to 33% on 4.5 attempts/game. Yuck.

And his rebounding is poor. His TRB is way below Amir or Al - 8.9% last year.  (Yes, you read that right, and it's not an aberration.)

Hope Brad can unlock something, but on paper he looks like a rotation player who shouldn't crack the starting rotation on a playoff team.

Avery Bradley = terrific two way player who improves every season Soon to be free agent we will lose for nothing soon, whose asking price is driven down by our need to cut salary in next 24 hours.

Marcus Morris = undersized medicore PF who doesn't rebound or defend well for his position Adequate role player on extremely good contract for next two years.

nice trade, Danny....

I wonder if we can get Dedmon and Crawford to round out the roster.

Thomas/Smart/Rozier
Hayward/Crawford
Crowder/Brown/Nader
Morris/Tatum/Theis/Ojeleye
Horford/Dedmon/Zizic

Gerald Green should be back on the minimum.

Terry Rozier needs to make a leap defensively. Presumably Brown enters the starting lineup.
