Gasol absolutely fits Brad's system but we'd have to trade Crowder, Smart and Bradley. We'd have to rely on young guys a lot and journeymen vets that want to try and win a ring. Gasol is 32 and is signed for 3 more years and fits the timeline of Al Horford and IT giving it up to the next wave.
If this trade was done any way we could get PP back for a year playing 15 minutes a night putting him on a legit farewell tour. I know I know a fan can dream right.
Anyway it would complete deplete our team but would give us a starting unit that can absolutely compete with the best teams in the league. The depth is the scary part. If they could get Green on the vet min and Jerebko with an exception then I think their depth would be ok.
PG - IT, Rozier, Vet PG
SG - Brown, Green, Nader
SF - Hayward, Tatum, Ojeyele
PF - Al Horford, Theis, Jerebko
C - Gasol, Zizic, Bogut
I like that team.
