So the Knicks are close enough to being done with Carmelo that they are supposedly ready to buy him out, but are somehow getting AB, Crowder, and two firsts back for him? If we missed out on Hayward and traded for Carmelo straight up (no Love), that package would be seen as a major overpay.
Knicks can take Crowder (since he will need to go anyway) and like the LAC 1st, but I agree that the Cavs are going to need more incentive to make this deal. Another team may need to be involved to make this work, unless the Knicks want JR Smith back - then Cleveland can get AB.
