The Celtics land two top five picks next year and end up with Ayton the Dwight Howard with a jumper and Michael Porter Jr the dream small Ball PF/SF

That's game over right there. Championship team once we put them all in the oven together and cook them low and slow. Once we turn down the heat and bring to a simmer, If Horford can still eat that's gonna be a winning meal.

 DeAndre ayton
 Al Horford
 Michael Porter Jr
 Gordon Hayward
 Isaiah Thomas

Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Smart, Rozier, Zizic, Yabu

This would be a super team.

That team wouldn't be very good with such heavy reliance on young guys, and by the time they're ready to contribute Horford (and maybe IT) will be kaput. Hayward would be able to stick with the young guys because he's still quite young.

In the long term that team will be very good, and develop quite the rivalry with Philly.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

No guarantee we will have an opportunity to draft any of them.

I like this trade, the Lakers protection has me a bit wary but even with the worst record getting the 1st pick is just 25% odds. But we will be able to choose two from Bamba, Ayton, Doncic and Porter....

There are simply too many good PGs out there, one of which is already on our team and ultimately I think this devalued Fultz. But I love the trade whether we keep the pick or trade it... as long as it's not for Butler... I really hate his game

So many PGs, so many SFs, and so many PFs. No shooting guards to be mentioned. Fultz is the best in this class. I mean, if Diallo proves to be something special other than dunking then we will have these same arguments again in 2018.

Now that we got Hayward, adding these 2 would be amazing

I Would be happy with just Porter..  The size, speed and Skill of that kid is special. But if we did happen to land both 1 & 2 Danny turns off his phone. We'd be set for a long long long time..

i agree I really like porter too. He's very similar to Tatum which is another reason why I like him, you can never have too many versatile wings in today's NBA and he'd fit in nicely as a spacing 4

Really hope Marvin Bagley iii re-classifies.  He's better than both combined.

If the Celtics got Ayton + Porter Jr. in the draft to go with Brown, Tatum with the core of veterans (IT, Hayward, Horford, etc.), I would lose my you know what and completely mark out!

But with Ainge, I would not hold my breath as he may pass on both lol.
Let's Go Celtics!!

I don't know about better than both combined, but some people think he might be the best prospect since LBJ turned pro.

What a coup that would be.

If we - fielding a team that should win 55+ games - get any one of these 3 or 4 guys we've been talking about, we should be dancing in the streets. We'd have young talent on the roster comparable to what Philly has now, plus veteran talent comparable to anyone but the top 2 or 3 teams. Getting 2 of the top 4 picks next year would be indescribable, but if we can just get one, we'd have an embarrassment of riches.

IF they get 2 of the top 5 picks...Ayton should be one. I really like Doncic also as a legit sniper

Ainge's phone doesn't have a power button.

Celrics need one of Bamba or Ayton to put the finishing touch in this lineup
