Fultz has never won at any level. So it Has to be at least some of a concern. Not even preschool. Or rock-paper-scissors with ainge

This is BS. The only reason DeMatha high school didn't win the championship his senior year is because he was invited to a tournament with the best players in the country and had to miss the championship game. The USA basketball team won a gold medal under his leadership. Washington Huskies was his only losing squad. Try again.

I dont like this trade anymore than you guys do. But people have been acting like everything is a lock. We don't know how these guys will turn out, and I hate to be one of the "poster boys" for I told you so comments years into the future.

He missed the championship game to go to a meaningless all star tournament? Do other players do that kind of thing? Because that reeks of a player who values his own stardom over winning.

I would still pick him. We should draft the best player available in terms of talent. It's not like we are trying to win right now. If we find out he is not a winner we can always ship him off down the road to the highest bidder. I mean, Harden and Westbrook are not winners either, yet they both have huge trade value.

If this pick gets us PG13 or Butler, I don't think anyone will be remembering Fultz come October. The Sixers are still a very young, unproven team and who knows if everyone can stay healthy.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
It's about his personality. Does he have the killer instinct required to be a superstar that wins titles? Dude never smiles. Completely monotone voice. Doesn't get excited much.
Does raise concerns.

I still wish we gambled on him but I can understand the business and basketball reasoning for trying to assemble a superteam in the East especially as Lebron declines. They will be underdogs vs GSW, but they will have a real shot at beating them. Maybe only 3 times out of 10, but a real shot...If they can get two of Paul George/Butler/Hayward/Griffin added to their current IT/Horford/Smart/Crowder/Brown core.

IT
Butler
Crowder
Griffin
Horford with Brown/Smart coming off bench. Something like that.

Most Cetlics fans are pretty convinced we must have two of those guys already in the bag/agreed to coming here. Meaning one of Griffin/Hayward with capspace and one of PG/Butler via trade for the #3 pick.

If we traded down to get Josh Jackson or Tatum then there may be riots in Boston. lol.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Oh come on now! Kawhi never smiles, has a completely monotone voice and doesn't get excited much. Is he not a winner?

Meaningless? Look up the rest of the talent that was invited to that tournament before you speak B.S. Its one of the reasons he is being drafted top 3. He showed he was superior amongst his class.

I appears Danny is going to try and WIN RIGHT NOW......there is no other reason to make moves of trading off Fultz ......Promising Hordford and IT he ll try while they are here to win a title ,  to promise Hayward the smar thing and maybe Butler ......If this is now trying to win now .....I dont know what is . IT and Horford can't wait 3-5 years for Fultz to grow up.

Im not say n its the right moves or he be successful.....but you don't trade number one pick .....go after players like Horford , Butler , Hayward ....Just to,have a good team .....it appears Danny is all in on trying to beat Lebron and Durrant.

He abandoned his ******* team in the championship game. If I were his teammate I'd feel utterly betrayed. **** an all star tourney.

I relieved we are not taking him.   He is talented, he has skills but I have felt all along that he lacks the intangibles and will to win kind of stuff.

Even if you buy Ainge's nonsensical passing on Fultz, the return for the #1 pick is pathetic. Ainge has made himself a league wide joke with this trade. Philly wants Fultz and yet we allow them to protect the pick?

LOL and some of you were saying people are afraid to trade with Danny.

That's like saying you would turn down an internship at the statehouse because youd miss a debate team competition at your H.S. I guess he is a loser for going to the tournament and all the other invitees are justified?

You may be right about what Danny is trying to do. Having said that, I don't want us to go down that route. The way I see it, no matter what we do we cannot beat the Warriors.
