I would trade #1 for Zinger and #8 in a heartbeat. I'd trade one of Rozier or Smart as well, 1, one of Rozier/Smart, for Zinger, #8.

Sold.

This isn't a realistic trade at all and probably not fair either.  I mean the Wolves traded an expiring contract for the #1, the prior #1, and a future 1st.  I get that Love had proven more than Porzingis had, but Love was older, more injury prone, and as indicated an expiring contract.  There is no way the Knicks trade the Zinger for 1 straight up, including 8 makes it a highway robbery.

I am not so sure about that.  If Zinger was in this draft would he go#1?

I would take the proven NBA player over a rookie anyday.  So I too, would do this deal.

I think Porzingis turns out better than Love.  He is still only 21 and has been playing in a bad situation.  I am not sure I do this trade exactly, I would probably ask for something more before pulling the trigger but I am OK in trading Fultz under this scenario.  The deal is probably John Wall for Kevin Love and the #8 at worst (age adjusted of course).  There is a discussion to be had here.
You must be forgetting how close to MVP worthy Love was before he got hurt a few times. Unlikely Kristaps is able to regularly drop 25 with 15 boards in his career.

Porzingis was known for his work ethic and desire to improve.  Phil Jackson is an idiot.  Last summer he made the decision to bring in some past their prime vets to go with Anthony and in doing so ignored the guy he should have been building his team around.

Anthony and Rose both need the ball so KP was left out in the cold.  I would throw out last season and refer back to his rookie year when he was excellent.  If you can get him and another player who is might go top 4 pick n any other year for #1 - to me that's a fair exchange.
