If we sign Hayward :

- Trade Bradley to the Sixers for Saric
- Use the room exception to sign Patrick Patterson from the Raps

PF : Saric - Patterson
C : Horford - Zizic

If we miss out on Hayward :

- Trade IT to the Wolves for the 7th pick
(alternatively trade IT to the Sixers for Saric)
- Use the pick to draft Isaac
- Sign Millsap (only if he agrees to a 2/3-year max)

PF : Millsap - Isaac/Saric
C : Horford - Zizic

If we miss out on both Hayward and Millsap :

- Trade IT to the Wolves for the 7th pick
(alternatively trade IT to the Sixers for Saric)
- Use the pick to draft Isaac
- Sign JaMychal Green (hopefully the Grizzlies won't match)

PF : JaMychal Green - Isaac/Saric
C : Horford - Zizic

If you can only offer a player 2 million a year your demands can't be too high.

I would not even offer him the vet minimum.   He can't shoot, and worse still he has not shown the commitment to keep in shape during the season and keep his weight in check.   For a pro athlete that is one of the basic things that is expected for you to do your job.   He can't even be relied on to show up night in and night out.  We don't need guys who can't even make the basic commitment to being a pro.   This is not a high demand it is a basic requirement of the job.

While, you may be inclined to throw away $ 2 million on nostalgia, you can bet Ainge won't do so because he is not even remotely sentimental and he has been burned by Jared work ethic in the past, lastly, he is no fool.  He could have added him during trade deadline and chose not too.   He is looking to improve the team, not make it worse, especially with all the young guys who do not need to be around a guy devoid of work ethic.

The problem with all these trades for picks based on missing out or getting free agents is timing. The draft occurs over a week before free agency starts.

The Sixers wouldn't trade a cheap player under contract for years for a one year rental in Bradley. No way they'd do that deal.

We're going to have to - unfortunately - set our sights a little lower for AB.

I believe Danny/CBS/whomever has/have already talked with Hayward and the C's have a pretty good idea of what's gonna happen in free agency.

According to Woj, the Sixers were interested in Bradley at the trade deadline. That's just 4 months ago.

Sources: Philadelphia searching for defensive-minded guards to play with Ben Simmons. One target: Boston's Avery Bradley. No traction.

being interested in Bradley and being willing to trade Saric for him are two entirely different things.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Sure but what ETNCeltics said was that the Sixers wouldn't trade for a one year rental in Bradley. Considering they wanted to trade for him just 4 months ago, I guess they would be interested to trade for him this summer as well.

Not sure how the salary cap would work but here is my shot:

Package combo of draft picks (2nd rounders, Memphis, Clips etc) along with KO(sign and trade possibilities??) smart and crowder for Nikola Vučević. With this we should still have room to sign Gordon.

Celtics

IT/Fultz/Rozier
Brown/AB/ (Tony Allen)
Gordon/Nader/
Horford/ne ne/ yabu
Nikola/Zizic

of course our bench needs more experience vets but here is a start.

As for Orlando

Payton/CJ Watson
Fournier/Smart
Crowder/T. Ross
Gordon/ Taytum(1st round pick)
KO/Biyombo

My dream target, although he would cost significant assets, is Clint Capela. We could have drafted him instead of James Young... but anyway. Capela is a stellar shot blocker and an explosive roll man who would perfectly complement Horford, and he's 22. The Rockets will want to get back players who can help them both now and later, so I'd offer them Bradley and Yabusele. We might have to add bit more.

Smart/Fultz
IT/Brown/Rozier
Hayward/Crowder/Brown
Horford/Crowder
Capela/Zizic

If all our young players get slightly better and Fultz/Zizic are as good as advertised, I think this team would be 50/50 vs Cleveland next year.

Does Capela have any actual skill, though?  All I've ever seen him do is dunk.  All you have to do to play in the NBA now, if you're a big guy, is be able to move your feet.  That's it, lol ;D. Pathetic, imo.

Yeah, he pretty much just dunks, rebounds and blocks shots. He's really good at all those things though.

That team would be an absolute disaster defensively next year.  We would get 1-5 pick and rolled to death with Vucevic and I.T., an inexperienced Brown starting at SG, Horford defending the perimeter at PF and a terrible/young bench.  Wouldn't be surprised at all if that team struggled to even make the playoffs.

The C's will have no interest in Vucevic let alone trade Olynyk, Crowder, Smart and multiple picks for him.  The death of dinosaur big men is real and every team out there with an ounce of sense will (unsuccessfully) try to unload them this off season.

We can start by -

1.  Dropping Amir off at New Balance.

2.  Leaving Zeller at a Lord of the Rings convention.

3.  Saying bye-bye to Nolynyk, Swedish Meatballs, and Jordan Mickey.

4.  Leaving Gerald Green and James Young at the salon.

Surprised no one has brought up Millsap's name, or is it everyone believes in the Atlanta Hawks Part 2 theory.
