Ainge has shown us for the last couple of years "win now" is not on his mind...don't agree?
Ainge got Crowder and Thomas because he was in the room when the trade went down. Not because he's been breaking himself in two trying to get them. They were bench players...remember? On the Celtics they become starting superstars waiting for zillions.
Look at our bigs. Amir can't jump....it's really important for bigs to be able to jump and the guy is our starter.
Zeller is here so his contract can be used in a trade. No other reason, he's a mathematical equation.
The bench?
James Young has been averaging 45 seconds a game for three years...he's on our roster...he never plays, ever. Mickey? Who's that?
A frontcourt? Great, Ainge has five guards and he's a few days from drafting a sixth, his coach "plays small" a lot because he doesn't have any other guys who can play for crying out loud.
In the playoffs, Gerald Green started in our frontcourt? In Steven's system you obviously don't have to be 7 feet tall you just have to be able to jump 7 feet.
"Hey Danny? I just got off the phone with the Celtic's fanbase, they want to trade some of our guys for frontcourt pieces...any thoughts?"
Ainge eyes start to dart around, he hunches over..."I really only want lots of smalls, dwaft pix and bigs who can't play that much."
"We know that by looking at the current roster, Danny. What if we swap some of our guard talent for a big who can jump, run and shoot while playing some defense?"
Ainge relaxes, "Keep the bigs that we have and dwaft some more guards."
In all seriousness, Ainge wants Davis and I'm with him, just when?
