I have a hunch the Lakers might trade their #2 for George, if Larry is convinced he can't re-sign him and Ainge doesn't want to deal. That assumes Bird likes Ball or Fox or Josh Jackson.

I think DA has enough assets to:

1: Draft Fultz 1st.
2: Sign Hayward
3: Trade current players and picks for Butler.

That's how I see it all playing out.

Still want George/Butler while Cavs/Warriors will reign supreme for at least another 2-3 years and adding either pretty much hurts long term cap flexibility which could mean being mediocre again in 3-5 years.. ?

In name only. He's still with the Pacers, and probably has a say on trades and the draft.

If he doesn't, it might make a Laker trade for George easier.
