Clint as Old Walt in Gran Torino, one of the greatest movies of all time.

Walt's probably lurking in here somewhere right now.

Love Jaylen, but if anyone says 'no' to this, they need to be banned from this site  :P
I think a lot more people will say no to this than you might expect

Yeah but I mean, if it almost guarantees you like 2 titles (which it should), why not?

Isn't that the goal. Championships? Plus I'm sure "ring-chasers" come over which helps a ton.
With 18 votes in, 41% say no.   ;)

50% now, as we speak.

The no's are gonna win.

It's a good question. I think ultimately I would say no, but only because of his age. The thing is, we already missed his age 32 season this year. Really, we'd be getting age 33 LeBron and above. When we dealt for Garnett at 31 years of age, we knew the window was realistically only open a few years. LeBron would be 33 at the end of this year, and though they were both straight from HS players LeBron has so much more playoff mileage after having made like 8 finals already.

The other issue is the Cavs may prove to be sorely overmatched in this Finals. If we get LeBron our team is pretty much set and I don't think it'd be enough to beat the Warriors who will still be good for the rest of LeBron's career. Without Brown and the BKN picks, we'd have no valuable assets left to get any more useful parts. Now, if the Cavs win the Finals convincingly and LeBron is the main reason, I'd probably change my answer.

I know it may be cheating the question, but if we really were going to deal both BKN picks and Brown, we should be able to get a young star frankly. Probably not Giannis and Towns, but I have to think New Orleans wouldn't immediately hang up the phone.

Nope. Jaylen Brown has the potential to be a better version of jimmy butler, fultz is basically going to mature into john wall and next years pick will be a duncan level big

i am one of those ;)

Me too.

Never adhered to the "if you can't beat 'em, join'em" mindset.

It's extremely distasteful to me.

I want us to beat his ass....not have him join us.

TP to you.

Don't want Lebron or the hangers-on ring chasers, but I'd consider trading Yabu and a future pick for 3 referees. That's the only part of the Lebron package I'm interested in. They're sold out like congressmen for pete's sake.

No, simply because Lebron is too old now to make that type of a trade for such young talent. He's already showing hints of losing a step, Durant made him look old and slow the other night. His drive to continue to be the best is also waning

Plus , Kyrie and Love with Jaylen, Fultz, plus a top 5 pick next year could turn into a bigger, longer term roadblock to the Finals than the current Cavs team

That's an easy YES.  We were able to get the #1 seed without Lebron so we'd let him take it easy during the regular season.  The East playoffs would be a cakewalk with Lebron.  So its just a matter of beating GSW.

The notion that Brown and the two Brooklyn picks are going to make us a dynasty is silly.  Brown probably won't even be a star.  Fultz probably won't be a franchise player.  The Brooklyn 2018 may not even be a top 5 pick.

In comparison, the Bucks already have their young franchise player.  The Sixers do as well if Embiid can stay healthy.  Even if Embiid can't, they have Simmons, Saric, #3 pick, Lakers 2018, and Kings 2019.  The TWolves have Towns, Wiggins, LaVine and the #7 pick.

Playing the odds, it's likely that adding Lebron would be more likely to result in a championship, right?

I mean, how many titles are the Twolves likely to win?

Yes, of course.

Hey Bron, wanna play on a real team, for a real coach?
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

IMO Horford's legs are going to be too old after next season for him to contribute at a level in order to produce a chip....
Brown+ Fultz+ another top 4 pick in 2018
4
Lebron

It would never happen anyway.

I know it would never happen but would you trade trade for Lebron adding him to this current team and a chance at 2-3 rings or would you pass and wait to see if the picks develop over time for a chance at multiple titles later?

For me. Give me Lebron.

If the only goal is to see the Celtics win, then of course I would do this without hesitation. That being said, LeBron is my least favorite player in the league, and I honestly wouldn't want him on my team, even if it meant hanging another banner or two.
