I know it would never happen but would you trade trade for Lebron adding him to this current team and a chance at 2-3 rings or would you pass and wait to see if the picks develop over time for a chance at multiple titles later?

For me. Give me Lebron.

How long are we guaranteed to have him for ? Length of hypothetical contract?

Love Jaylen, but if anyone says 'no' to this, they need to be banned from this site  :P

I think a lot more people will say no to this than you might expect

Yeah but I mean, if it almost guarantees you like 2 titles (which it should), why not?

Isn't that the goal. Championships? Plus I'm sure "ring-chasers" come over which helps a ton.

I would much rather see the rising of new stars than the crashing of old stars, even if it meant another banner in Boston.

We stand the real possibility of developing a dynasty for many years to come, with Fultz and Brown and the 18 Brooklyn pick possibly being in the Top 3.  It has been fun to watch the team develop over the past three years to the point where I truly believe our current configuration could beat both Cleveland and Golden State with the right bounce.  While I agree that on paper those two teams are better than the Celtics...sometimes it's more important what happens on the hardwood when the odds seem against you.

Thomas and the Celtics showed that kind of heart in the playoffs, especially coming back from a two game deficit after he lost his sister...and a tooth, while playing with a bad hip!  It showed their true character, at least to me.

Sometimes being the champion means you are the "best"...but sometimes you learn more about people when they don't win.  These Celtics entertained us this year and gave us some memorable moments that won't soon be forgotten.  I would not trade that for a shot at short lived success for nothing.

Ban me if you must, but no. No way, no how.

LeBron, bless his heart, is about to hit the wall. The signs are already manifesting. You could see it the other night.

The Cs' future, on the other hand, is bright, virtually unlimited, loaded with possibilities and open-ended in the best way.

Be patient and enjoy what lies ahead.

Even better things than what transpired this year will happen sooner than you think.

This all hinges on whether or not you think that the current Celtics plus Lebron (and maybe a few low-salary vets) would be enough to beat the current Warriors. I think I'd take that tisk, but I can definitely understand why some people wouldn't
I'm bitter.

Hmm, arguably a top-3 player of all-time still at his peak or three unproven lottery tickets?

In other words, no, unless they throw in Cedi Osman and a #1.

If Danny does that trade, he should be banned from basketball. Why would you give your heist to amother team?

Thats a team that is a contender for 3 years and has the perimeter defense to go against GSW. Also, imagine Lebron in Stevens offense with his passing ability. A lot less iso ball for Lebron and not having to play 40 MPG would make Lebron much more rested by playoff time.

I do this trade in a second.

I'm on the youth train pretty hard, but if the deal was those picks and players for LeBron until he retires.....yeah I do it. Our team would be amazing for the next few years.

Offensively we are near unstoppable, and defensively we can slow the warriors better than the Cavs could.

I said no, but only because he is 32.  He can't possibly play at this level into his mid 30s.
