If Ainge wants to replicate the Warriors backcourt and the game has changed to shooting and positionless players, I trade for Booker.

#1, AB to Suns

Criss and Booker to Celtics

IT and Booker would be a deadly backcourt...deadly. Imagine Booker getting all the looks AB got and off Horford pick and rolls. You eventually want to play Criss and Zizic together in a few years.

The Suns can take Ball or Fultz to go with Bledsoe.
That's horrendous, they need to throw in 3 unprotect pick for me to even consider that deal and i will probably say no

Booker will be an All Star next year...mark my words. No one in this draft will be an All Star by year 3.

Yes or no...

#1 for Jamal Murray, Hernangomez 2017 1st and 2019 1st

#1 for Jokic

#1 for Parker, Brogdon, 2019 1st

#1 for Saric , #3
has not this board, time and time again, lamented how the celtics have so many "nice players" but lack a true talent/all star? a common comment is how the celtics have "quantity but not quality"?

so now i see so many proposals that result in a "quality for quantity" result. do the celtics need additional players who are good? not really, they have that already.

the celtics needs a great player to move further in the playoffs, and fultz may be that player.

ainge will draft him i believe.

I agree. A lot of people talk about "What would belicheck do" but there are 2 MASSIVE flaws with this reasoning.
1. In football, 46 players dress for a game. Any given player plays, at most, 50% of the game on average, and is 1 part out of 11 for that part of the game. In basketball, a given player is 75-95 % of the game and is 1 part out of 5. Huge difference in terms of individual impact.
2. It's easier to be "Belicheckian" when YOU HAVE TOM BRADY AT THE MOST IMPORTANT POSITION! The better analogy would be to recommend that Cleveland, with Lebron in the fold, then be "Bellicheckian." But the C's do not have that luxury at this point. They have many nifty pieces, most of whom are young. The Celtics need to slide everyone's importance down 1-2 slots.

I'm not sure Fultz is the guy, but he certainly could be. Trading him for a few more nice parts would be pretty frustrating.

Jokic or Davis however...

So basically you are saying this is a good but not deep draft

Do you'll know how hard it is to be an All Star by year 3? I don't see it in this draft. Do you realize that KAT and Wiggins still aren't All Stars?

Well then All-Star by year 3 must be a terrible metric, considering we'd do backflips to get KAT.

He can keep the crystal ball, I'd rather keep Fultz. IMO, he's 2-3 years from being a superstar.

I really dont see Booker making the all-star team next year. Hes one of the most overrated players in the NBA in my book.

Ainge himself lamented that not a week ago.

Don't you know that having 3 18 year olds with "unlimited potential" is better than 1 18 year old with "unlimited potential?  Sheesh...   ;)

The question is, just how limited is that unlimited potential? ;)

Mike
I believe the correct term is actually Tremendous Upside Potential (tm).
