Unless DA gets a Godfather offer for the #1. So anything short of AD, PG13 with and extension or something similar, I'd expect Fultz to be in green at the beginning of the season.

Pg13 and 2017 18th pick... I dont think Pacers can get a better return (2017 #1 and Crowder)

Pacers would be foolish to let PG13 walk for nothing..

When a guy has tasted the ecf twice...came close to reaching the finals... He doesnt want to go backwards

So trade for him at the deadline when his price drops dramatically.  What you suggest would be a disaster for the Celtics.

Yes or no...

#1 for Jamal Murray, Hernangomez 2017 1st and 2019 1st

#1 for Jokic

#1 for Parker, Brogdon, 2019 1st

#1 for Saric , #3

No to absolutely all of them.

You think Denver has TWO players worth the #1 pick in the draft?  They will be Golden State in a couple years if so.

And in return, the Celtics receive Anthony Davis.

That's the only thing I express interest in if I'm holding a #1 pick lol.

Yep.  If I am Danny I have a list and it consists of one player - Anthony Davis.

He is the only conceivable addition that would instantly vault this franchise to a title.

Jimmy Butler and Paul George can go elsewhere.

has not this board, time and time again, lamented how the celtics have so many "nice players" but lack a true talent/all star? a common comment is how the celtics have "quantity but not quality"?
Ainge himself lamented that not a week ago.

Don't you know that having 3 18 year olds with "unlimited potential" is better than 1 18 year old with "unlimited potential?  Sheesh...   ;)

The question is, just how limited is that unlimited potential? ;)

Mike
I believe the correct term is actually Tremendous Upside Potential (tm).
Yeah the intrigue of a deal like Lakers '18 + #3 for #1 is that you get two chances to strike gold. #1 may give you a 40% chance at a star, but if #3 and Lakers '18 each give you a 25% chance, then you are more likely to get a star with that deal.
The Lakers don't own their 2018 pick and can't trade a first rounder for a couple more years.

Hypothetical would be a trade with Philly

True and false.  The Lakers have 2 picks in this draft so they could trade one or the other.

Unless its a smokescreen (which could alienate the draft pick) ... Doesnt seem like Danny is very high on this draft (top 5 prospects)

Quote
two is we really need to know the value of the whole draft

How do you not know this by now?

If Durant was available in this draft... it would be a different story
Belive it or not, GMs and coaches have a wide range of duties including the draft. Most don't even start thinking about the draft until after their season of playing has finished.
Coaches don't but GMs do.  Ainge goes to a lot of college games during the season.  Ainge commented recently about how much they'd done regarding the draft but that they'd have to bring Stevens up to speed.

I think Ainge fields all offers.   It would be foolish not too.

Due diligence

NOT just to gauge/potentially cash in on Fultz's value, which Ainge'd be fool foolish not to assess, (I hope he keeps Fultz) but also to asses the value of assets of other teams players and their draft picks and for the trading our other substantial assets and to assess their value league-wide to aid him in closing deals.

Listening yes.

Likely to make the trade, I just don't think so.

Horford has not come here for an advanced rebuild

Horford signing signals win now....

I think pg13 + 2017 18th pick for #1 and Crowder I think is a possibility... Extension or not (wasnt this the same case with Ray Allen for the 5th)....

Then entice Hayward to join (no guarantee at the moment)

Are you out of your basketball mind? PG13 for all of that? No way.

The Sixers own their pick, and the #3. I think that's who ILikeSports meant.

Davis is the answer to our needs but I don't see him being available.

To make it work, you'd have to free up enough cap space to give Max to Hayward and then match salaries to trade for Davis.  So KO, Bradley, Crowder and Smart as well as Amir, Zeller, Jerebko, Green, Mickey, Jackson, Young would be gone.  Rozier would be the only one left on the bench.

Next season when IT is a free agent, just the starting 5 would put us close to the luxury tax line at about 120M.  At that point it would probably be better to let IT walk and get a cheaper, more defensive PG and shore up the bench.   IT's offense would be a lot less important on that team.

No, build for 2019-2020. Warriors aren't going anywhere.
