Obviously you make a trade if he is going to go elsewhere before he becomes a free agent but we have the 18 pick as well.

why trade for him unless he's signing an extension anyways. It's all well and good  but just rumors for now.

The cap is rising that's the thing.  You have to be able to keep these guys but even still.  I would absolutely wait it out until everything is in a row.

until the cap plateaus, GS and Cleveland are in the same boat without the picks and have their players signed. That pick is very valuable.

not sure if reliable source but...

Sources: Pacers asking for 3 of 4 from group of Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart, and Jaylen Brown + 2017 Nets pick for Paul George.

Follow Mike Ortiz Jr. @xOrtiz4x Sources: Boston pulled out of Paul George deal after Pacers wouldn't lower asking price. Also weren't confident George would sign long term.

That was before the deadline.

That price has dropped significantly, with him missing on all-nba team, he is almost guaranteed to leave.

That is way too much anyways.  So we are going to beat Lebron, kyrie and  Love and GS with a worse suporting cast.  I don't think so. IT, George, Hayward and Horford and one of bradley, jaylen, crowder, ko is close though.  We'd have to bring guys over like zizic and yab.  Nader.  We'd probably keep bradley.  That is a challenger to what cleveland and GS put out there but no guarantee.

He cant be offered the supermax by the Pacers without the all-nba designation, which means what the Pacers can offer him on the open market compared to.another team when he hits free agency is negligible. He is almosy guarenteed to leave Indiana because of that reason in turn driving his trade price down. I'm sure Indy doesnt want to lose him for nothing.

the pacers can no longer offer Paul a super max 5 yr deal because he didn't make an all NBA team. They could have offered him like 60 mil more than any other team if they used the super max, now other teams can offer him pretty much the same Indy can.

If he got on the All NBA team, he'd get a supermax contract from Indy. Thats what could keep him there. Now that he hasn't, other teams could offer closer to what the Pacers could, making it harder for Indy to sign him. So now they might move him before he bolts.

It now could get an insane amount of money. Now if PG13 and Hayward are here, I'd be fine with signing him to it, and I'm sure Wyc will go over the luxury tax to do so.

If I'm Indiana, I accept a trade of Bradley, Crowder, Rozier and the 2018 pick in two seconds without even blinking. They will make the playoffs most likely with that roster still so they get the playoff gate while hopefully getting their next "guy" in 2018. Ayton, Porter, Bamba, and Doncic is going to quite the draft class.

The 18 makes more sense in ways. George would also have to sign an extension. We'd also have to be guaranteed we are getting hayward. Something stinks for now.

No way i do that without Hayward here and George signing an extension and even then I'm not sold.

does this mean the same for IT4?

i guess he might get his wish to see the brink trucks

personally I think this bonus is dumb.... because it handcuffs teams...  just means less chance of adding significant help to your team

Considering Jaylen looked like the best Celtic on the floor last night, I'm all in for the future.  The asking price for Paul George is way too high.

Same, our players are going to keep improving.  Getting Fultz here is best situation currently  We retain cap space plus we keep drafting more talent. We have to pay all those guys but that's possible too.

We lost game one. I'm guessing a lot of people had the same panic attack.  I did as well but keeping my head here.  It's good we are drawing interest from these guys though.
