What else besides 3 would make you do the trade?  He says Embiid and Simmons are off the table but anything else is fair game. Is there some package that you would do the trade? Fultz and Ball likely go1/2 so that leaves Jackson, Taytum, Fox, etc. available at 3.

I think Ainge would consider Saric and #3 for Fultz. I wouldn't do it because I don't love Jackson like I imagine Ainge will, lol.

Okafor is not enough. I loved that Kormaz guy. How has he been this past year?

Number 3, Saric and the future Laker pick.

If Simmons and Embiid aren't on the table, I'm not interested.

I think Simmons for #1 makes a lot of sense for Philly.  With that, they'd be looking at an awesome core with 3 high potential all-stars of:

1 - Fultz/TJ McConnell
2 - Josh Jackson
3 - Covington
4 - Saric
5 - Embiid/Okafor

with guys like Luwawu, Gerald Henderson, Justin Anderson, and a TON of cap space to work with.

not interested.  Simmons and 3 would be interesting.  Embiid and 3 would be tempting but he just can't stay healthy.

It's not happening, but #3, 2018 Lakers, 2019 SAC, and 2023 Philly.  It's been really fun rooting against teams -- let's keep that going.

Heck, then trade down from #3 to #4 with Phoenix, who wants Jackson, for the Miami unprotected pick in 2021.  Get all the picks.

But really, just take Fultz.

#3 plus better of 2018 PHI/LA 1st, plus better of 2019 PHI/SAC 1st.

I was thinking this earlier, is there a McHale-Parish like trade here. The answer is no though. Take Simmons and Embiid out of the picture and there is no one else that makes up the gap between a 1st pick and a 3rd pick

If he's willing (he's definitely not) to do #3, the unprotected Lakers pick, and the unprotected Kings pick, I'd think about it.

Yeah, that seems reasonable.

#3 plus better of 2018 PHI/LA 1st, plus better of 2019 PHI/SAC 1st.

That's even better. Thing is, such a trade would really help our cap situation right now while giving us even more value down the road.

Still not sure I would do it.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Only way I'm doing it is if Simmons is involved. No reason to do it otherwise.

If Colangelo calls looking for #1, he better be prepared to offer Simmons or Embiid, or I'm not interested.
