Wow...I was shocked...they hemmed and hawed but essentially said that Boston is getting swept.

not shocked at all.  this season has been a huge success regardless what happens now. let's have fun and get experience playing cavs now. Hopefully a top draft pick and a nice trade or FA signing this summer.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Is that Tim Duncan's podcast? He's retired, who cares what he thinks?

Seriously, I'm a Celtics fan and it's not a crazy prediction. The Cavs destroyed a good Raptors team that only won two less games than us. They are the defending champions and they have possibly the best player of all time.

Considering where the Celtics are in their development, I would think stretching the series to 6 games would have to be considered a massive "win" for the organization.

Cleveland has by far the best player in the series and I think most non-Celtic fans would also argue Cleveland has the 2nd best player in the series.  Cleveland won the season series 3-1.  Cleveland has had a cakewalk and lots of rest.  Cleveland has won the East the last two seasons and is the defending NBA champion.

I wouldn't be surprised if Boston was swept, but do expect them to win a game or two.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I don't see a sweep. I think we can swarm Irving and this past series should give us some confidence. I'm concerned about all the phony calls LBJ will get. I think the Cavs are a old team and the C's need to play better than they did all year. They can't have long stretches of scoring droughts.

I'm not sure who they have to defend IT. Shumpert is all I see and the bigger they get, the worse defensively they get. Irving doesn't play great defense.

The right strategy, great defense, foul trouble and consistent scoring can beat this team. They aren't the 80's Celtics\Lakers.

Nate Duncan predicted a sweep, Danny Laroux predicted us wining a home game. That game would need to happen in the first 2 games.
As much as I want us to win I think 5 games is the most realistic prediction. If Warriors look like they willl sweep the Spurs, Cavs (LBJ) might give some extra juice to match the 12-0 record.

We most likely be swept, with 3 games very close. Or we could win 1-2 games and lose in blowouts for around 3 games.

Just based on the season standings (3-1), I say we take at least one game.  I also think we steal another, so I'm at six games at least.

I'd be surprised if we got swept. Boston is very gritty and will take a lot of effort to beat in 4 consecutive games.

That being said I dont see us winning more than two games.

I think Cavs in 6.

Cleveland is being overrated based on their 8-0 record. They barely beat Indiana 4 times than faced a Toronto team with an injured Lowry. People are overlooking the fact that arguably Toronto's best player was injured and ended up missing game 4. If hes healthy I see Toronto taking at least 1 or 2 games.

I think we grab games 2 and 4.

I'd be surprised if we didn't take a game off them if only because Cleveland will get overconfident and start pansying around at some point as they did with the Raptors last year.

In my mind Game 1 is the most likely win.  Cavs haven't been playing for over a week and it will take time for them to ratchet the intensity back up, while Celts will be at home and still riding the adrenaline from yesterday's game.  Could see us shocking them in game 1 and then losing four in a row once they come to their senses.

As a fairly optimistic Celtics fan, I'm picking Cavs in 5. Picking a sweep is far from unreasonable.

I think it's game one or bust.  If we lose the first I could easily see a sweep.

Anything goes if Game one goes our way.
Yup

I mostly just hope we drag on the series for as long as possible so I can watch more basketball. This team is very likable, don't want the season to end.

Optimistically I think we can go six.  Pessimistically I say we get swept.  Realistically, I think we might almost win a game so still a sweep.
