Well the ping pong balls belonged to the Nets so any previous bad luck with Celtics ping pong balls has no effect on this outcome

you have a good point .  in terms of good faith trade ,  there should be no bad karma associated with the trade.  Great players were given up for the chance to sign a great young talent to replace them .  Fair winds blew our way and we have a top four . No reason the luck could not give us 1-3 either.
