Fast-forward to the 2003 lottery, the Grizz just had the 6th-worst record in the league, but as the lottery wears on their draft slot passes and they know they've jumped up to the top three.

If they get the #1 pick, they get to keep it and draft LeBron James.

But instead they got #2, and the pick went to Detroit for Darko Milicic.

You had my heart wrenched until the final clause.
Let's see... how about "the opportunity to draft Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh" instead? Better?

Admitted conspiracy theorist and agree with NorCal's points.  It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

This is exactly what I'd guess, too.  Fultz, Ball, Tatum.

I'm sticking to my prediction...I hope I'm wrong though.

1-Suns
2-Celtics
3-Lakers

Don't worry the Suns don't need Fultz and would probably take Ball or Jackson.

I live in Phoenix and there's a lot of talk that McD wants Ball to play next to Booker. Bad move IMHO..

I live here in PHX too.    And my buddy played with PHX two years ago and has some ties still... He thinks the same..but only if they can move Knight.

They think the PG position would be packed even still with the rookie playing well lest year.  I can't remember his name...     but he hit that game winner vs us.

Tyler Ulis. He's tiny though, smaller then IT. If they land Ball, they will trade Bledsoe on draft night for some more pieces. Then they dump Knight for some 2nd rounders. You have Ball/Ulis as your PG rotation. Not bad..

Even if we're #2, I'd feel ecstatic.

Even if LAL/PHO land #1, I think they'd take Ball (or Suns - Jackson) which means we still land Fultz.

Say what you want but I will always believe the lottery is rigged. There is no effing way Cleveland wins those lotteries that they did unless the whole thing is rigged. I don't care what anyone says.

We're going to get #4 whether we like it or not. Lakers are going to be gifted #1 whether we like it or not. That's just reality.
