Yeah, but if I'm an agent I might still not want my guy competing needlessly with Yab or maybe Zizic or Horford. Plus KO could come back
I have not been overly optimistic after watching, Yab, were I an agent I would not be too concerned. Antic, seems to have more drive, but I doubt either of these guys can dominate in the NBA anytime soon ( I hope I am wrong about that.) I think no big man rookie could take Horford's position but Amir is another matter. KO is another question, but he has a reputation for being both soft and dirty. All of us here, know he can be inconsistent.
I think Agents don't want their guys to come here because they will have to earn playing time. It has more to do with that than us being "too good" which is silly. The playoffs have demonstrated two things, we need starting caliber four ( we have known this all year and the playoffs just made it more obvious) and we need scoring help. Teams that good don't have that big of holes. We are often greater than the sum of our parts, though and play good team basketball.
I suspect we will take a Fultz if available and deal for or sign a four. If Ainge rolls it back with Conan the Destroyer (KO) and Amir and Jerebko, I for one will be disappointed. I am also of the mindset that KO is not your future starting four. He is too uneven in performance.
I could see us taking Jackson as a Small Ball four or Tatum as a Small Ball three moving Crowder to the four if we get the 3rd or 4th pick. Ainge's bag of assets is getting smaller now. A lot of what happens could depend on free agency, drafting Fultz and signing a Blake Griffin ( a lot of luck would have to happen) but whoa.
