I believe we win the series if Bradley and Crowder start helping out a bit. No help from them we'll be out soon.

"Bringing in money" is the agenda not the integrity of the game and not calling the games in a constant fashion. Games are called wildly different even from quarter to quarter- see finals 2010 for reference.
Yes, you'll be shocked to know that "bringing in money" is the agenda of every for-profit organization. That is, in general, how the world works.

And no, the games are not called in a constant fashion, seeing that they're not called by robots. You know what else is wildly different from quarter to quarter? The production of your favorite players and Tommy's energy level.

I keep wondering why people who think the NBA is fixed keep watching games. But then again, some people watch pro wrestling, so what do I know.

I voted Celtics in 7.   But it looks grim and I don't think in my head we can beat CLE even if we win this series.   I will be rooting for us every game win or lose, I hope we go down swinging if we go down and will be proud if we win.

It is a three game series tied up, all we have to do is win two games.

True, but in my books just making an ECF would be a huge success for the C's, even if Cleveland sweep them.

But earlier on in the season I said a "success" would be getting out of the first round and at least being competitive in the second round, and they've pretty much done that.

Still thinking C's in 7. They'll bounce back like they always seem to when they are tied or down in series.

Celtics in 7 just got a lot harder with the Bradley injury. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but it's looking more like Wizards in 6 to me.

I'm agnostic as to whether we lose against Washington or Cleveland, since I don't believe we are getting a big-time free agent this summer.

Most observers of the Celtics—including a lot of us here on CB—said that the next step in the Cs progression was to win 50+ games and a first-round playoff series, and doing so would make the year a success. The Cs have done that.

I don't know enough about NBA players and their thought processes regarding free agency, so I don't know whether losing to Washington or losing to Cleveland would be "better" for the team's recruiting efforts. I certainly prefer to think that any soon-to-be-free-agent would look at this team and see a great opportunity for himself and for the team's future, and want to be a part of it.

Sure, but the top seed moved the goalposts somewhat -- it gave us better opponents and HCA.

But even if we assume we've accomplished what would make the year a success, the manner in which we have lost the last two games is rather disappointing -- no effort, no heart, seemingly a complete failure to react to the adjustments the other team is making. Not to sound apocalyptic, but there's blame to assign for this top to bottom, starting with the coach and ending with the players on the floor.

Well, glad to be up 3-2 now!

I'd really like to end this in 6 though. Will be hard but I'd rather not go to a Game 7.

i did believe, do believe, and will believe in the celtics in this series.

six games? possible if the celtics come out fast and play hard. it might set the whizzers on their heels and allow the celtics to win.

if not, the celtics will win in 7 games.

either way, i expect next week for the the celtics to be playing in the ECF.
