I still believe we have a chance, though I would not call us the favorites.  Lose on Wednesday and we'll see an even bigger demolition in game 6.  Win and we have a chance in 7 (because we're not winning in DC).

Just seems like a lot to ask for given the match up.

Let's be real Wiz have been the better team and the better team usually wins. It took 50 something for us to beat them we prob win one more game and that's it. They haven't showed anything that has me thinking we can pull this off.

We lose next one in Boston. We got out twice at home, third time-I don't think so.

I wasn't worried when we went to Chicago 0-2. We were better.

I was very worried when we went to DC 2-0. The were being better.

Whenever the rival team has a good offensive PG, we are dead unless IT scores 50 points. The problem is that he scores 10 every ten games, and he is ****** in defense every day. That's why I've argued so many times (with the majority of people against) that you can't win a ring with a 5'8" star. Sorry, but everyday I believe it most firmly.

1. Washington is 20-26 on the road this year and havent won in the garden in the last 2 seasons (0-6); Boston is 33-12 at home this season.

2. I believe they are playing at their max while we are not. A lot of our struggles can be attributed to Washington, but I really believe that we are playing below our standard. Marcus Smart, Avery Bradley, and Jae Crowder have all been bad these last few games and theyve more importantly been below their lofty standards on defense. I believe those guys will snap out of it.

3. Isaiah Thomas is a special player. Isaiah Thomas has been bottled up these last two games, but an elite scorer like him ever be held down for long. He will figure out a way to get himself going again.

4. Brad Stevens. Brad has been outcoached these last two games, but I firmly believe he is a superior coach to Brooks. So far its been advantage Brooks, I dont expect that to continue

5. our team. We are better than Washington. As much as the last two games indicates the opposite, i really believe we are better than them. We finished 4 games ahead in the standings and suffered more injury misfortune than them(I think). Any one can be better than anyone else on a given day, but over long stretches the better team wins out. I believe that is us.

6. This team is VERY streaky. They love to be counted out and are at their absolute best when no one wants to believe in them. We are capable of dominating the Wizards(obviously washington is also capable of beating us at home)we completely dominated the last 3 quarters of game 1. If we can come out and defend homecourt with an emphatic guts performance, I think it could vault us back into one of those runs where everyone is locked in. Thats where you see guys like AB and Crowder getting confident and they start locking in on D and taking good jumpers in the flow of the offense, Isaiah Thomas becomes unstoppable.

7. Close games. The wizards abysmal bench forces veal and wall to take a massive load. They are often gassed toward the end of games. Also the end of playoff games is where the league really slows down and the Wizards are predicated on fast break points more than anyone left in the playoffs(no idea if numbers actually back that up lol). Meanwhile we have the best closer in the league and when it gets real tight can go offense-defense subs with Smart and Thomas.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
We can win 2 of the next 3 games.

We just have to defend transition points and hit threes.
If we do both of those things we will win.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

How-yes-no! You are blaming IT, our best player for not wining rings or what ever. And, somehow you overlooked the rest of the team which is mediocre, if we exclude Al Horford. So, your conclusion is that, if Thomas would be also great defensive player, we would have been a contender, because all the blame for not being a contender lies on IT's defense. Wow! Congratulations!

I said before the series started I thought the C's would win in 7 and the home team would win every game. So far, everything is going according to plan.

This team is a cardiac kids type of team, it is going to be hard, but it can be done.   I doubt it will be easy.

I do believe because a series hasn't started until the road team wins a game.

With that said, I think game 5 will determine the outcome of the series and Washington should be favorite with the way they have been dominating the last two games and overall seem much more confident in their game than the Celtics, who are always adapting to them and making changes.

The team seems to play at its best when everything is doom and gloom so we'll see if they regroup on Wednesday.

Wizards in 6. I don't think we have the talent. Their starting 5 has been more productive than ours. I feel bad for IT. Would be a great time to trade him if we can get a top 3 pick. Honestly it will always be annoying to have to hide him on defense if we become contenders.

Otherwise, attempt to trade for KP, and try to sign Hayward.

This team doesn't handle prosperity well. They have to be in a standing 8 count before they start playing. They have to be second guessed, ridiculed and embarrassed before you get their best.

I don't know why but that's how they function best. When you throw too many accolades at them, they soak it up and get soft.
