If the C's picked up KD35 last summer, or maybe Cousins, then the Celtics would have been in the same conversation with Golden State and Cleveland.
My expectations are...Celtics should get past the East Semis before getting wasted in the East Finals. Unless a big injury happens to one of the Cavs' Big 3.
I think the Cavs would survive even an injury to Love or Kyrie; as long as they have LeBron, they have the best team, because LeBron's still the best player in the game and gets the most calls.
As far as Danny's thinking, I think he views any success this season beyond a first-round win as gravy, like playing with house money. Don't get me wrong; he'll take the success now. I just think he's not expecting a higher level of success just yet.
Can we stop with the narrative that Lebron somehow gets favoritism from the refs. Dude may be on his way to supplanting MJ as the greatest player of all time and he's earned every bit of it. He's pretty much that good.
Ahahahahahahahahahahaha!! That is hilarious! LeBron has been getting MJ calls since he entered the league!
No other player in the history of the NBA has been so coddled by the refs!
A lot of his "greatness" comes from his traveling, getting MJ calls, and plowing over people on offense.
MJ did it with out steroids and HGH.
LeBron has no competition compared to MJ. He has one team in his way, and when he's about to lose to that team, the league screws over the superior team to create a narrative that there is parity where there is not, and create a false rivalry.
Don't even get me started on the MIA super team.
LeBron will never at any point in his career surpass Kobe, MJ, Duncan, Oscar, or even Barkley for that matter.
And there is a reason that he was shoved into the spotlight...
When Kobe went down to the rape charges (PR wise), the NBA shoved Iverson down our throats. (Both are superior talents than LeBlowhard BTW). Turns out AI wasn't exactly an ambassador of Public relations either, so the league was desperate for a new poster boy at that point. Cue LeBron and ESPN broadcasting his highschool games and get ready for the most coddled and overrated star the league has ever seen.
There's your "narrative" bro. Sorry your hero is a false icon
