Also, "Don’t pat Isaiah on the head."  ;D ;D ;D

it's a very good read, and it's a nice thing to see how mature Smart is at his age. A few quotes stood out to me

Quote
I know I don’t pour in the points — we’ll let Isaiah do most of that — but I try to make up for it with steals, rebounds, defensive stops, deflections (I love deflections).

I love Marcus. I love the determination that comes through. If this team cans stay focused and play hard, anything is possible

A nice insight into how sensitive he is, too. I think that's common with guys who are really intense and I think it's why his shooting percentage stay so low. He gets in his own head. If he can get a level off just a little (but no so much he loses his edge) I think his offense is going to jump up a notch.

A very nice article, and a great look into the concept of being a team player. A guy that understands for every player that scores 30 in a win, there are players that fight for every rebound, steal, and tip they get their hands on, to insure the win.

There should always be a place on this Celtic team for these type of players.

Really great article. Exactly why Smart is my favourite, passion bleeds out of him.

I was already pumped up for the playoffs but this has got me ready to explode!

I love Marcus Smart. He has the mentality that EVERY basketball player should have. He is just the epitome of what kind of heart and soul you need to be great at that sport.

Love the article, and love how he talks about showing up and fighting at every game.

Sadly, he isn't the player who concerns me on that front.

I was at that Nets game he references. He had two or three crazy plays that night where he got to a 50-50 ball and in one motion ripped it away and passed it to a streaking teammate.

What an excellent article.

I hope he's right that they're ready for the playoffs, and I really hope we bring that defensive intensity that I know we have. If we do, I could legitimately see us making the Finals. But if we don't, it could be a bad playoffs for us.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.
