Chris Ryan's article is not talking about trading for Paul George in the context of any realistic proposal that either was discussed or rumored to be discussed.  He is writing an article about generalities.

The Celtics didn't get blown out last night because they don't have Paul George or Jimmy Butler.  They got blown out because they played like crap.

It was a tie game after 1 quarter, our best player was on the bench, their best player wasn't, and he took over.  Game Over.

  • GOT IT!!!
Yesterday was an aberration. The 2nd and 3rd quarters were some of the worst basketball I've seen this team play this season. There was a lack of focus and it was evidenced by the easy baskets we surrendered. We weren't communicating at all and weren't properly switching or rotating on off the ball action.

We are intimidated by Lebron. Grow some stones, Celtics.

I agree.

Though of course we do need more  stars to win a title.

That being said, we panicked last night, it was embarrassing. We need better composure, we wouldn't have beaten the Suns, Nets, or Lakers the way we played, the team was frozen and out of sync. The mental aspect is enormous.

Hopefully it will be a good learning experience.

Hopefully so. It is definitely worrisome come the playoffs though. They weren't ready for the spotlight last night. LeBron wanted the ball and they just handed it over to him.
