Prob affects the topics by giving those of whatever opinion some supporting evidence. I'd call that normal. And it's more convenient for those who don't have the time to pour their very lives into developing a researched thesis (complete with advanced stats and the reason for selecting those stats to support the thesis and discussion of the underlying validity and reliability of the stat indicated, with comparative examples of well known - or not - players from other teams).
We can just simply say: See! He stinks/is a bum/overrated/superhero/whatever.
TP - I was coming on here to say something similar.
People have varying opinions about the team, individual players, management, etc. Somebody who is not so certain they want to sign IT to a 5 year max may feel it is a good time to comment after he he says something questionable to the media or has a bad game. That same person can't start a thread if the Cs are on a 10 game winning streak with IT leading the way so they wait for a more appropriate time.
I think people around here are generally excited about Brown's future and doubt this current group of players can get by the Cavs in the ECF. Everything else is up for grabs.
