I'm personally not high on either unless we're getting a super-bargain price, but just out of curiosity, who would people rather have?

Jimmy Butler (3 years remaining at ~18m/y + player option)
- More dynamic scorer.  Much better at slashing to the basket/drawing fouls
- Better playmaker, but holds the ball quite a bit.
- More athletic, much better offensive rebounder
- Probably a better guard defender.  Can only be played at 2 or 3.

Paul George (2 years remaining at ~19m/y + player option that he's almost certain to decline)
- Much better outside shooter
- Less ball dominant, can be used as spot-up shooter
- Bigger and longer, slightly better defensive rebounder
- More versatile defender (can guard PFs), can be put into rotation anywhere between 2~4

I'm torn a bit personally.  I feel like George would be a much better fit for the team (can space the floor while IT has the ball, we already have enough good guard defenders), but Butler is probably the better overall player, is under contract for longer, and has a slightly lower salary that would make it at least plausible for us to put together max cap space this summer if we really wanted to assuming we send long-term salary (AB + Brown) the other way in the trade.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think a similar thread was made like two weeks ago with the same poll.

But PG13 for me.  8)

But like, I wouldn't at all feel bad if we got Butler instead of PG13. Either helps a ton.

Ultimately both are Top-4 2-way players and can "contain" Lebron better than most around the league.

I feel like PG13's play the last 10 games has only faltered because of the frustration with the Pacers. They ended before the ASB on a 6 game skid.

Jimmy Butler = More refined and efficient offensive game. He has surpassed P.George.

He's definitely the better player now, but George fits our system much better.  His shooting numbers could go through the roof with all the open shots IT/Horford get him.

Calling it now, if George is traded to the Celtics, people on this board will be calling him a top 5 player by the end of the playoffs. Stevens will bring out his potential.

Sure, if you look at only this year and don't include his playoff performances or Elite D on elite players like Derozan, Lebron, etc. I've seen Butler getting burned left and right by elite players. Nobody wants to talk about the elephant in the room...He exerts most of his energy on offense now....

This sport is entertainment first and foremost and i'm far more entertained by Paul Georges' game. His game is pleasing to the eye while Butlers is not. Butler either takes a step back fadeaway, or he makes a layup. Pretty boring stuff. Much rather have George.

Demar Derozan is Butlers Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. and Butler has had as much success against Lebron as anyone outsid Kawhi Leonard.

The idea that he struggles against good wings is completely false

What? My eyes tell me something else. I guess we'll see. Hope George gets traded here so people can understand how bad his situation is.
