he can just get where he wants so easily-he could be big the 2nd half of season
last year in miami 2nd half of season he lost minutes to winslow -i believe this year will be different
isaiah really likes this guy and so do his teammates
green is getting scary good, finally
and brad knows just how to use this
He had a good first half last night, but haven't you been saying this since we signed him? He has occasional explosions, the same as he has done for years.
And one of the lowest basketball IQs I've ever seen. There is a reason he doesn't play more, and won't.
No one ever accused Vinnie "The Microwave" Johnson or Andrew "Boston Strangler" Toney
of having high basketball IQ's.
Gerald Green is what he is, an uber athlete with a great shot, able to score in bunches.
He has turned into a serviceable defensive player, he doesn't turn over the ball that often. He is a good rebounder. And he is playing on the wrong team. He simply won't get the minutes that his talent should afford. He would have been better off playing in Chicago, Washington or LA-Clippers, OKC or Houston.
Its ironic, because IT was largely seen as a back-up guard-a journeyman- even here in Boston, until he started. He could score in bunches was thought of a a score first, undersized PG that looked out for himself first.Once he got major minutes, Boston's rebuilding advanced.
Gerald Green has answered the call, a number of times this year. And besides IT, he is the only one that can create his own offense.
Shooters need reps in order to be effective. I am surprised he's played as well as he has in such a limited role.
I'd like to see him get consistent minutes-25 a game.
