then hand us the pick.

That is the way I like to look at it. We do not own the BKN17 pick but just a right to swap. Minor technicality that may just be enough to swing the lottery in our errr I mean in Brooklyn's favor.

So all of you that are worried about the disappointment with past draft lotteries for Boston remember this pick really belongs to Brooklyn we just have swap rights that we may choose or not choose (wink wink) to use.

So to break any lottery jinx that Boston may have lets just call this year's Brooklyn pick the Brooklyn pick until after the draft lottery. ;D
I am actually really curious about that. Will Danny trigger the swap before the lotto, or will the Nets have to send a representative to the lotto to sit through what would have to be the most painful lotto of all time.
Let's just roll it over ... say the right to swap from 2019-2025 for that one pick?  Would you do that deal?

I don't think I would.  If they drafted a top guy like Fultz this year (or, worse, traded it for a star) and kept Brook, they'd probably have a shot at a decent FA, too.  This would weaken the 2018 pick and all of those swaps you get in the trade.  Better to just take the pick that you know will be near the top (a bird in the hand and all that)
I'm bitter.
