IMO if we get lucky enough to hit a top two pick in the years draft, Ainge is shopping it aggressively to Sacramento for Cousins. Given that the best two players are attacking point guards we won't be keeping them. If Danny believes Thomas is his guy, you don't sit The Number 1 or 2 pick on the bench and play them sparingly for 2-3 season. Neither is slightly defensive minded so they can't play beside I.T who needs his weakness compensated for just as Harden, Kobe ect.
I can see no better rebuild scenario for the Kings then trading Cousins for Lonzo Ball a Cali kid who is flamboyant, even if he isn't the best guy in the draft...it doesn't write better than that.
Unless George suddenly becomes available (which i can't see happening) Cousins is our best shot, and if the last game against GSW is anything to go by he may be Warriors kryptonite. I don't even think we would need to throw in the 18 Brooklyn pick as the Love-Wiggins trade is pretty comparable, with Bennett being a throw in.
