Who's currently ahead of IT4 for MVP?

I'll start the conversation with three obvious candidates who are most likely ahead.

Westbrook - averaging a triple double. Hard to top that.

Harden - Starting to become a complete player who has helped his team overachieved.

Lebron - Still the best player in the NBA.

i think on NBA.com they have an MVP ladder as well, pretty sure i saw KD on there on top with the other 3 you mentioned

They update it on Fridays, and currently have IT 7th, behind those 4, Giannis, and Jimmy Butler.

7th is pretty good. However, I think IT should be ahead of Butler. Giannis vs IT is debatable.

I agree but this is purely my opinion right now, but base on our record vs Milwaukee, i think IT should be ahead of him too

Considering Butler had a 1 point game this week and missed another, I'd expect there to be some movement in the rankings tomorrow (also because there's the power ranking requirement that things change every week.)

The award will go to Westbrook or Harden.  Those are really the only two names that matter in that race right now, and Harden is in the lead due to team record.

He won't win, but if he finishes in the top 5 that is a real accomplishment. That part of the list is generally populated by hall of fame level players.

I think the most likely outcome is somewhere in the 7-10 range. I expect that top 3 to hold in some order, followed in some order by Kawhi, Butler, Steph, Giannis and KD.

Then there's another tier (to me) with A. Davis, Boogie, DeRozan, IT and probably a few others I'm forgetting. But among those guys IT has the best combo of being on a good team and having a breakout year.

No, I meant Butler who scored 1 vs. OKC and sat out the next game.  Didn't realize Giannis missed a game and then played only 9 minutes the next night.  Two chances for IT to move up!

How do we define MVP? If it's the best player in the league, Isaiah's not in the conversation.

If it's the player who has been most instrumental in the team's success, he's top-5, possibly top-3.

I think most voters look at the award that it is a most deserving type award.  So they will give it to a great player that had the best season.  That is why James doesn't win it every year and why Jordan didn't win it every year.

I think its Westbrook's to lose at the moment, IMO.

Westbrook 1a
Harden 1b

But I fully support the IT4 campaign and love to hear the chants anyway.

Gotta think Harden's got the lead. His team's got a much better record.
