Lrbrd actually was one of the posters that said it drowned out out fans (while I also saw it discussed on a Philly blog), but I didn't want to completely derail the thread and thought it deserved its' own discussion if it really did happen. Hearing from multiple people that were at the game, I feel pretty confident this was really overblown and just a handful of fans that were able to be heard during a quiet moment. I also think it is really interesting to hear from people that are actually at an event rather than taking a media report as gospel.

Jae Crowder has a reason to be mad.  It's very disrespectful.  They didn't do it when we sucked couple years ago, why now?  I expect it from other teams' fans but definitely not Celtics fans.

I went to that game. I had the best seats of my life, about 20 ft from the Celtics bench. Got there 30 minutes before game, and I wasn't drinking. Watched the whole game. I didn't notice a lot of love for Gordon Hayward. I'm sure legit NBA stars got more applause than Hayward in Boston when being introduced.

I think Crowder had an agenda. I think he would have said something re: rumors even if not one fan cheered for Hayward.

Re: 76ers taking over the Garden- I think we're being a little sensitive here. It doesn't take a lot to make a ton of noise, esp if you have enough drunken fans around you. Let's not go overboard and start saying silly things like Celtics fans are "disrespectful" or traitorous or blah blah blah.

If you're willing to spend the $, I think you should be able to root for any team you like. Jae should focus on his scoring and be less insecure about his future with a team that has signed him long term. jeesh.

I think the Mother Russia/Rocky Chant theory might hold weight.

Seriously though, it probably started by a handful of Philly fans that made the trek, then picked up by some fans who were sarcastically joining in or just showing their support for an extremely likeable young player who has gone through 2 years of injury hell.  Embiid deserves some love.

Put me on the Joel Embiid / PHI bandwagon - as long as they're not playing US.

If I were sitting in the seats in BOS I'd have a hard time NOT cheering for this guy.

He's been unable to even PLAY the game he loves for TWO YEARS...he's playing NOW and is dominant in ONLY 22-26 min per game...Ben Simmons hasn't even sniffed the floor yet....you've got Dario Saric, Covington and several other talented players on that team and it's still young?

That GM guy that was unceremoniously removed MAY YET have his day in the sun.....this is coming from a guy that did NOT approve of his methods and wish he could've did things differently.

Those few PHI fans at the BOS game (and PHI fans in general) have a lot to look forward to. I think they'll still see more losing than winning in the short term but at least that light at the end of the tunnel is NOT a train.

It was posted that Philly fans took over the process in our game against them with there being so many they "drowned out our fans" with chants of "trust the processs." Is this true? I would imagine there were some people on here that were actually at the game. This would certainly be bizarre and troubling if this is an accurate report. Thanks in advance for any feedback anyone has on it. For the most part I thought we had pretty good attendance and haven't really heard of this kind of thing happening.

there were a group of them in the upper level (traveled together?) that were chanting it, if drowned out means "if they all chant together during an otherwise quiet time (like free throws or time outs) then I guess but that's pretty easy to do when all 20 sitting next to each other , even from high above

TP cool to hear from someone actually at the game. Seems kind of crazy they would write a story about a group of 20 fans together.

They thought it was interesting that there were 20 Philly fans together in an arena. It hasn't happened in Philadelphia in almost a decade.

December was a nice month.

By my count there were 11 different active Philly threads during the month of December and if you check those threads you'll find that I didn't make a single post in any of them.   I think that thoroughly disproves the idea that I'm the root of the Philly discussion here.  I previously showed that in the year of 2016 there were something like 75 Philly threads created on this forum by various Celtic fans.

There's a pretty significant interest in that team around here... which might partially explain why chants of "TRUST THE PROCESS" drowned out the arena in Boston.
