It was posted that Philly fans took over the process in our game against them with there being so many they "drowned out our fans" with chants of "trust the processs." Is this true? I would imagine there were some people on here that were actually at the game. This would certainly be bizarre and troubling if this is an accurate report. Thanks in advance for any feedback anyone has on it. For the most part I thought we had pretty good attendance and haven't really heard of this kind of thing happening.

Hard to know, maybe these were Celtics fans looking to trade for Embiid.

I suspect that report was mostly hyperbole.

"takes over the Garden" is real strong, but you can hear it.

there were a group of them in the upper level (traveled together?) that were chanting it, if drowned out means "if they all chant together during an otherwise quiet time (like free throws or time outs) then I guess but that's pretty easy to do when all 20 sitting next to each other , even from high above

Sounds like mocking them and their, at the time, second worst record in the league.

TP cool to hear from someone actually at the game. Seems kind of crazy they would write a story about a group of 20 fans together.

PHI fans do have a lot to cheer for and look forward to.

Embiid is - so far - turning out to be everything they've expected and THEN some.

Personally I LOVE the guy...talented, long, intelligent...seemingly can do it all and is relatively young. He seems to have a good personality as well.

I loved his challenge to IT4 the other day.

Plus you've got this guy talking PLAYOFFS for PHI? He was quoted the other day saying that it's a possibility with them being "only" 8 games out of 8th spot. Boy I'd LOVE for that to happen, Ben Simmons to come back strong AND for The Philadelphia 76ers to give CLE HEADACHES for 5-6 games.

Once Ben Simmons comes along they'll be giving the NBA trouble for the next 10-15 years. Plus they have some good talent on their team besides those two.

They thought it was interesting that there were 20 Philly fans together in an arena. It hasn't happened in Philadelphia in almost a decade.

No kidding. Never before has ineptitude (hell, not even mediocrity) been celebrated more than Philly's embarrassing 5 years. Congratulations Philly!
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

I can see a lot of season tickets holders selling their tickets for such games(vs bad teams).

I was at the game and can confirm that this is utter BS. I mean, yes, it was audible, but hardly. And the first time they tried it it was drowned out by a "let's go Celtics" chant, while the second time we simply booed.

Lol no. You could barely hear them in an otherwise quiet free throw moment. Saying they "took over the Garden" is absolute nonsense Philly hyperbole, per usual.

IIRC, one of the fans over at LB said it was his son and his group of around 20 or so that were making the chant. Hardly "taking over the Garden," if you ask me.

What's funny is that this whole "trust the process" narrative is essentially a defense mechanism that Philly fans have now had to latch onto to deal with how terrible they've been in this past half decade. It's hilarious that it's now their mantra to rationalize sucking at historically terrible levels.

Jae Crowder have every reason to be mad.  It's very disrespectful.  They didn't do it when we sucked couple years ago, why now?  I expect it from other teams' fans but definitely not Celtics fans.
