Its the feeling I am getting from the trade market this year ..
Also with the team playing as well as it is maybe some smaller moves would benefit this team for the run...
When you look at it IT is scoring on Larry Bird in his prime pace .. Now Im not making a direct comparison but overall his scoring numbers are similar to the golden age of Bird ... I know I know the league is a higher scoring then in the 80's but he is still clutch... Add in Bradley and Horford and the scoring itself is taken care of ...
So as we hear names like Milsap and Lopez are available, their price is steep ... Teams want lottery picks in this years draft and picks in the future ... not worth it ... so whats the price of Cousins or Davis ... who knows now??
Instead find a rebounder and solidify the bench ... Find a better price for Noel , Bogut, Nurkic, Vucevic or Taj Gibson ... Or great role players Brandon Knight , Sefolosha or PJ Tucker...
So building a more sound team while still building for the future ... Keep in mind Thomas and Bradley both have expiring contracts next year and this draft class is supposedly the best since 03.... Having a player like a Fultz, Ball, Jackson or possibly Giles could really solidify the future ..
Now if Ainge could pull some dream trade off for Davis do it but the market doesnt seem right... maybe it will in the offseason ... just my 2 cents ...
