Millsap is the story.. but I wonder if Dwight Howard gets shopped by the Hawks as well. Surely if they are rebuilding he could be on the trade block too.

Besides Horford.. Ainge and the C's were also interested in Dwight Howard (as a Plan B).

Regardless, I wonder if the Celtics are one of "several teams" in discussions with the Hawks about Millsap.

Toronto landing Millsap is the darkest timeline.

I kind of think it will happen.

Toronto know they are likely a 2 or 3 seed.. and if they want any shot at beating Cleveland (even a small one), they should add Millsap.

He would be a PERFECT fit for them I'll admit.

Unless it's true that Horford didn't want to play with Dwight, he's the Atlanta big I'd prefer if the price is equal.

I imagine the price wouldn't be as exponentially huge (you should be able to keep the 2017 Nets Pick at least, while giving up the 2018 Nets Pick - which I would do).

Only if they get him next summer as a free agent.  We're not winning either a title or the East this season so if they get him for a half season they get him.

Toronto has to give up some real rotation pieces to get Milsap -- they don't have the expirings that we do to add him quite as cleanly.  Terrence Ross is finally having a nice season, and they'll miss his minutes.

If Sactown is big on Millsap as reported and they get him, any dreams you may have of Boogie in Boston will die immediately.

I'd say adding Millsap and losing Ross is a net gain, especially against a certain #3 seed that has a particularly weak frontcourt.

Yeah, probably, but those dreams are still pretty thin unless the Kings go on like a 10-game losing streak now.
