Do we mess with this team at the deadline?

As it is with all things regarding this team - it depends. If an honest-to-goodness franchise player, like Paul George or Jimmy Butler, shakes loose then you give a hard look at what the other team is asking for. Otherwise you look for a buy-low opportunity on guys who might help you this year but don't necessarily make you a contender. No interest in moving a Nets pick for Millsap, who I think the team is well-positioned to pursue as a FA over the summer, but I'd give them a combination platter of Olynyk, Rozier, and non-premium first-round picks. I don't expect Atlanta to take a deal like that, so I don't expect Millsap in green this spring. Otherwise, to echo what a few other people have said, I wouldn't mind turning Zeller and a second rounder or two into Bogut, who would come in handy if Boston runs into Dwight Howard or Jonas Valanciunas (or Robin Lopez, for that matter) this postseason.

Sneaky-devious trade target: Brook Lopez, using the 2019 Minny pick and some combination of the C's own picks and the Clippers' pick, which serves the dual purpose of getting Horford a frontcourt partner (who also stretches the floor now!) while making the Nets even worse over the remainder of this season and next.

If we get bogut and the Cavs loose KI or Love to a game or two in the finals we may have a chance that is why you get a Bogut. IMO

I wouldn't mess with IT, AB, Crowder, Horford, Smart, Brown, Kelly, the 2 BKN picks, or our cap flexibility.

Everything else is fair game.

All we need is a rebounder who can shoot and doesn't suck on D.

Re-address finding another star in the offseason (unless of course one magically becomes available before the deadline).  Don't risk breaking up our core or taking away cap space for a small sideways move (like Hayward for example).

Cleveland is a very shallow team with stars at the top and not much else.  They're an injury or two (look at last nights game against the Bulls at home) from being very beatable.

I think the asking price for Jaylen Brown is substantially higher than it was a few months ago.  So I don't think there will be a lot of messing.

It's a question of how long Horford can hold the fort up front. He doesn't have much help. AJ plays well, but only in spurts. Jerebko is a versatile bench player. Zeller and Olynyk are of no help defensively.

Clearly, they need another big who can defend. Bogut will come the cheapest, and I would guess he's the one unless Danny pulls a major deal.

I say keep the 17 pick regardless. Trade 18 pick if you get value.  Bogut or Humpries for a 2017 low 2nd 17 pick. Trade young too for something or cut him for a dropped rebounding vet.
