With how well this team is playing and is finally healthy. Outside the 2 in the hospital right now. I don't think I would make any big changes to this club this year. Unless Danny can find more magic in a trade like he did with ThomAs. I mean we all know we need a rebounder but I don't want to give up these pieces. Unless we get somebody for a bag of balls. What people really forget with the 2 coming over next year If they do it's like 2 more first round picks this year.

jaylen is going to be a stud player and finisher to IT.  I wouldn't mess with that too much.  It might take him a bit but he can already score.

Considering this team seems no closer to being able to beat Cleveland, yes, any move that will improve the team should be considered.

Doesn't mean a trade will be made, but Ainge shouldn't be worrying about messing up the chemistry of a team that is not a championship contender as is.

Only if someone we need becomes available, like Wilt Chamberlain or LeBron.

Maybe Boogie, if he's your style..

I think fans look at this team wrong.  Even if it's Lebron screw that.  I don't want Lebron.

pretty soon we will be a system team according to fans, when it's always been this way and we just have a lot of talent and smart players who know how to play together and to their strengths.  Unselfish.

We'll be beating Lebron.

I wouldn't want LeBron. That wouldn't feel right at this point.

But that is about the most moot point there ever was.

Smart has been playing really well over teh last month and consistant.  Jaylen is coming.  Rozier can't even get time right now.  IT, Bradley, Horford, Crowder and Amir have all been solid.  We could use a rebounder.   Maybe a better wing than Crowder but Crowder is good and can rebound. So can jaylen.  And Amir.   They just have to do it.  I would make a move for someone if the price is right though and it's the right move.

We have 7 or 8 solid guys and more coming.  jerebko is also really good in his role.  Green has had moments too.

But yes, absolutely yes, do I want more talent on this team.

I want Ainge to make a move, but I want it to be the right move. I'm willing to be patient.

^He's been incredible.  If he looks like he's going to age well, I'd buck up to resign him.  Fultz/Ball/Smith Jr.  will just be ready to lead when he starts to regress and become our coveted 6th man.

Sorry to disagree on both points.

There are moves which will improve this team, but not enough to beat Cleveland.  I do not make those moves, there's no point unless it is a bargain.

Chemistry is an elusive thing.  If this team is clicking chemistry-wise, I do think Ainge has to seriously consider the impact of a move in that respect.  There are many examples of teams that were loaded with talent but without chemistry they didn't go far.

Approaching the deadline I (like most everyone else) would like to see DA use a combination of Rozier, Clippers 1st, any number of 2nd round picks, Amir and or Zeller to upgrade the front court. Even if this is just a trade for a one year Bogut rental. If the Cs are able to bring in a big man like Bogut to take some pressure off of Horford I believe this team makes the ECF and wins at least 1 game vs the Cavs. This may be the ceiling of the current rosters core.

We have a lot of second round picks that I'd trade to get some upgrades on expirings.  For example, I'd trade a second and James Young for Omri Casspi, who wants out of Sacramento.  And I'd trade Zeller and a second for Bogut, assuming Bogut is healthy at the time of the trade.  I don't think those moves would hurt chemistry at all.

I'd also make a big move for someone like Cousins, obviously.  Rozier and Mickey work salarywise for Noel, and I don't think that'd hurt chemistry on the outgoing player side, but I'm not sure how good of a teammate Noel is.  If the Celtics thought he'd be fine, I'd add the Memphis first to my above package, but at the present time, I will not be upset if Noel isn't here.

I would only trade Amir for a star.  I know he can't rebound much these days, but he makes all the right plays on offense and defense.

I do not believe there is any trade that we could make that would allow us to compete with Cleveland or Golden State this season.  I would be fine with (and actually expect) more of a mid-level trade for someone like Monroe or Vucevic, maybe even Bogut but I am not so high on Bogut.

I see no current target worthy of trading assets like Brooklyn picks or Brown, at least based on the current landscape of the league.

The teams must make the steps to move forward.

If the trade is there that helps the team long term, they do it.

And I think the dream of the "one move to contender" is overblown.
