Celtic fans should give Crowder a standing ovation on Friday night.
He deserves it.

If I were going, I totally would.

Oh cmon man, playing the race card? That is ludicrous....
This has nothing to do with race.

This tweet to me has racial undertones.

Life comes at you fast.

Hahahaha, amazing post. TP

Perhaps a nice back rub while we're at it.

This won't endear him to the fans.  Complaining about fans cheering a player to woo them here is not  a good idea.

Maybe play with the fire like that every night and it won't happen?

why cheer for a player that does not move the needle?

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

Wait is this real? Are we really discussing this? It's not that serious. Also, wasn't taking aim at you there it was a general statement. Tps have become a joke.

TPs are definitely a joke - I have had mine completely wiped out on two occasions. The only thing I worry about is users who have signed up in the last few years see my horrible post/TP ratio and assume I have nothing positive to add (this tread isn't helping my cause).

Anyway, TP to you for doing such a good job moderating your thread  ;D

In my time i've been at games where "fans" were chanting mvp to kobe and booing john Bagley during free throws.  There are idiots in every aspect.  Boston has some of the greatest most knowledgable sports fans there are.  We also have some people who need a rock in their shoe, need to be the coach, need to complain

I've said it before but there are fans at the garden and here who would complain about russ, bird and cousy no matter what

I like Crowder more for this, and want him to stay.  He should be offended... he goes out there and trains/plays hard for the Celtics.  The fans should be supporting and cheering for him.

With regards to Hayward, I'm definitely one of the people who believes he barely moves the needle for us, and therefore giving him a Max contract would hinder (not help) the Celtics

Back at you. Yeah I gambled away my TPs too and worry about the ratio and start date skewing folks perspective on my posts.

I'm with you, can we just agree Hayward is a scrub compared to what we need at this point. The fact that Boston fans even clamor for the guy is embarrassing.

Hayward averages 22.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting 45% from the field and leading his team to a record that is equivalent to our record, but in a tougher conference. This, plus his relationship with Stevens and him being a free agent this summer is why people have some small hope that he comes here. You can argue that he is not markedly better than Crowder, at least not enough to help us beat Cleveland, but calling him a scrub and wondering why people want him is absurd.

Wait, wait. Thats cool and all... But people WANT him? Like they want to use our cap, and bottleneck Jaylen's development for.. Gordon Hayward?! No way man, those people are probably from Lowell.

The clearest takeaway is: stay off Twitter.

I understand Jae's reaction. I understand the fans being excited about Hayward. Overall, this should be a "no big deal" thing.
