I like Crowder more for this, and want him to stay.  He should be offended... he goes out there and trains/plays hard for the Celtics.  The fans should be supporting and cheering for him.

With regards to Hayward, I'm definitely one of the people who believes he barely moves the needle for us, and therefore giving him a Max contract would hinder (not help) the Celtics
I'm with you, can we just agree Hayward is a scrub compared to what we need at this point. The fact that Boston fans even clamor for the guy is embarrassing.

Hayward averages 22.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting 45% from the field and leading his team to a record that is equivalent to our record, but in a tougher conference. This, plus his relationship with Stevens and him being a free agent this summer is why people have some small hope that he comes here. You can argue that he is not markedly better than Crowder, at least not enough to help us beat Cleveland, but calling him a scrub and wondering why people want him is absurd.

Wait, wait. Thats cool and all... But people WANT him? Like they want to use our cap, and bottleneck Jaylen's development for.. Gordon Hayward?! No way man, those people are probably from Lowell.

What's wrong with Lowell? It's one of the most diverse cities in MA.

Also, nobody is bottlenecking Jaylen's development. Did Jordan bottleneck Pippen's development, or Isiah Thomas bottleneck Joe Dumars development? Hayward and Jaylen would work really well together.

I know I am way late to this thread, but I was at the game last night, and I don't remember anyone cheering for Gordon Hayward in any way that would disrespect Jae.  And we were going nuts for him.

I left at 3 mins, when did this occur?

LOL.  Really?  That was basically nothing.  I mean, they cheered KD last year the whole game.  Where were his tweets then.

Why don't people get the difference between KD and Hayward??? This is so disrespectful to KD.

Yep. KD is clearly much better than Hayward. His decision this past summer totally shifted the balance of power in the league and lead to many franchises wondering if they should give up competing for the next few years.

Is that what Crowder's tweet was about?  Because the way I read it, he was complaining about Celtics fans cheering for the opposing player.  My point stands - I was there, there was no cheering for Hayward, especially when he came out draining shots in the 1st.  KD was cheered all game last year.

This. I was too lazy to break it down myself. TP

TP as well. Yeah, they are simular players ones of strengths that the other doesn't, but Hayward is no scrub.

Something else must be up, maybe the rumors of Crowder/ect for Vucevic has some legs. You don't blow up on Twitter a few hours later over a few fans cheering for a guy they would like to see in green. Heck if KD came to town Crowder would be on the bench or in an other city. But if you get your panties in a bunch that bad that means something else is up, or your being bit of a baby. I mean just because we sign Hayward doesn't mean he's gone. Stevens likes to go small, and Crowder can play PF. Thats a nightmare match up for a good portion of the other teams.

I like Crowder, I really do, but I'm a realist and this team needs an upgrade at 2,3 or 5(so Horford can play PF). People on here are saying he's untouchable, which is laughable. Acting like he's PP and all.  IF you can get a C that averages 13 and 10 off the bench for their current team, and get a similar SF in FA, you pull that trigger, because next season you are now better. And if you play the kid and he does well for the rest of the season and gets you a draft day trade for a Butler, you do that, and now you have some thing.

Yeah Crowder can feel angry, but lay it out on the floor, quite the haters that way, but attacking fans in Twitter is weak.

Seems like Hayward could play the 2. I think he's an upgrade over Bradley.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I think if you look at how this team is constructed IT and Horford aren't going anywhere.  Neither is Bradley more than likely.  That leaves the 3 and 4 which we can upgrade.  We have Brown coming and smart locked in at the 6th man spot where that does make crowders spot somewhat upgradeable.

I've never been one to cheer for opposing players.  I think it's rude to the players on the floor.  Some players i respect and like watching from other teams.  Tim Duncan was one.

Jae is on this team at this point.  I feel like Hayward is a better player than him but Jae is still our guy.

There was no guarantee we were getting Durant either. I listened to the fleet crowd cheer for Oden when Pierce was having a great game playing his heart out in a loss.  Fans are obnoxious and wrong a lot. What else is new.

Going to a Celtics game, posing as a Celtic fan, and then cheering for an opposing player who is entering free agency is in poor taste.  It stinks of the kind of fair weatherism that permeates sports in the internet age.  I hate it.

That said,  Jae Crowder should have probably stepped away from the screen and read a good book or watched a movie or lost himself in a video game, instead of angrily tweeting out all his feelings.

Maybe he's taking his cues from the soon to be president of the country?

The media is full of trade rumors and people who are willing to sell our players 10 cents on the dollar.  People think this is reality when it's not.  I don't mind people tweetting their feelings so much.  It's the ones who are just spineless who need to take a long look in the mirror.

I'm much more from the hoosiers this is your team school of thought and we have to keep getting better  until we are better.

There's no guarantee Hayward even is that guy.  I think it's a team game much more than people realize even still and the  C's are going to win with that plus the right talent whatever that may be.

First a Lowell appearance on the thread, now a PEOTUS entry, what next we going to start using WANGS??? Anyone familiar with Lowell will appreciate the Wang reference.
