Good, he has every right to feel disrespected - he's a solid starter having a career year on a good team, is very underpaid, and the home fans are cheering for an opponent at his position that they want to sign.  Blowing up on social media isn't a good look but I'd be more worried if he didn't take it a little bit personally.

I also think Crowder is the kind of guy to take feeling disrespected the right way - use it as motivation to bust his butt to get better like he has his entire career so far. I don't see him becoming a bad locker room influence all of a sudden because another guy was getting cheers one night in January. The Twitter blowup is embarrassing and hopefully an aberration but I actually see the overall situation pretty positively for Jae. Just keep it off the 'webs buddy!

Crowder is right.  A lot of fans don't even know what celtics basketball is.  Just selfish stupid crap.  Hopefully Jae steps up.

What if he's knowingly being included in trade offers?  Seems possible.  Don't really take issue with what he said, but the tweet re: leaving was over the top imo.

Yeah, that kind of struck me, too, especially combined with him recently following the Magic.

But, hey, that's part of the business.

I was at tonight's game. I honestly don't know what he is talking about. I have no problem with players manufacturing motivation- esp. ones that play for the C's. I'm just not sure that the crowd was rallying for Hayward. In fact, I heard a ton of cheers every time he missed a shot.

Where is the appreciation for us when we went nuts for each of his big 3 point shots? A lot of Celtics fans were loud tonight supporting their team.

I truthfully believe that this is a made up "controversy". I'm not mad at Jae about that- I hope he continues to play well.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

My sentiments exactly. It's good that he's passionate, but a bit more self-control mignt be wise.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Didn't even know that... And wouldn't be surprised, it's happened before.  But glad they're winning at least.

Athletes are human beings too. Imagine you work your heart and soul for a team, and they're hyped about replacing you.

Also, why did he follow the Magic?

The fans were cheering for Hayward because they want him to come to Boston.
Personally, I think he is overrated.

Still following the Magic though.

Teams Crowder is now following:

Celtics
Mavericks
Magic

Crowder, in his professional career, has never been affiliated with the Magic. Crowders father Cory, did not play for the Magic.

I am really really mad at our fan base. I completely understand why Jae felt disrespected. He knows what going on, he knows that if he sign Hayward this off season, he will likely be traded and to hear your fans cheer for the person that might replace you would p--- me off.

Then I saw that Jae is also replying to fans on twitter so it is clear that he is reading all of the tweets send to him, and I see this celtics account called Forever Green who tweeted "Truth is we drafted your future replacement 3rd overall @CJC9BOSS so you gonna get mad if we cheer for Jaylen too?" then deleted their tweet shortly after. This tweet got me so mad, it is down right disrespectful to Jae as a player to tweet at him that we already have his replacement on the team.

Jae plays his heart out each and every night for us and we treat him like this??? This sickens me!

I agree with you 100% that stuff makes me sick.  I think Crowder has a right to be irked, but he needs to take the high road as well.  If I was a pro athlete I would strongly consider having someone else run the twitter account and really try to avoid looking at it ever.  Too many idiots out there who don't represent the vast majority of Celtics fans.

I like Jae, I hope he puts this behind him quickly.

Didn't he post some video about working out in the offseason in Orlando?

Definitely strange about the Magic stuff, especially its timing. Also could've been him trolling fans like us, too lol

EDIT: I've always wondered if players ever read fan sites like this, because we've certainly drooled over trading him for the likes of many players, or even upgrading him with a better wing. You have to think they have before, even if they don't do it regularly.
