I think its possible.

Obviously he makes a ton of sense to move in any big trade(or a small one) but you also have to remember that Smart Bradley and Thomas are all FAs after next season so keeping Rozier could make it much easier to let 1 or more of those guys walk.

Package him & Olynk, plus a non BK 1st for a big.

What big do you see that could be available at that price?

I would do it too, but I'm just not sure who would be out there at that price on the top of my head.

Nurkic? I don't think Denver want to trade him though for low..

Rozier's trade value is pretty low right now.  Let's be honest. He just has not been productive, which is why his minutes have taken a nose dive. Has moments of Vinnie Johnson micro-waive brilliance.  But seems destined to be a bench guy getting 20 minutes a game. Can't  see any team looking at him as a future starter.  And I like the guy.

At best you would bundle him up with a future non-Nets 1st round pick for Noel, but doubt Sixers will ship Noel to division rival. More likely would go to Western conference.

For Rozier and a first Id imagine Philly would make an exception. Noels value has surely tanked below the point of first round picks.

I want Rozier's case to be explained to me by the members on this board that claim that "playing time has no correlation with how good a player can be in the future." This is your evidence right here, jack.

Guy has all of the same tools some of the studs in this draft possess yet he's getting benched like some afterthought.

Why do people care so much about players who are eminently replaceable?

You see a superstar on the roster? They gotta come from somewhere and I doubt that'll be from a Vet minimum signing.

What does that have to do with Rozier?

Rozier is a really good athlete with some nice offensive abilities and the potential to be a good defensive player.

He is relavent for me, primarily because his development or lack thereof will be essential in determining leverage during Smart-Thomas-Bradley contract discussions. In the same vein he is crucial to trades.

If we believe he can be a 3rd gaurd than all of a sudden Smart or Bradley become much more palatable in a trade. If he can establish himself as a guy who can become a 2nd or 3rd gaurd then thats even better as it gives us another asset in a trade that is not one of our core 5 (Thomas bradley Smart Crowder Horford)

He's a young player with a future, whether that's bust or impactful player we need to showcase what he can do to see if he'll get there or at least catch another GM's eye.

Players like Rozier who can probably be signed off the scrap heap in the offseason give you zero leverage. Remember, he just lost his job to Gerald Green.

I like Rozier.  He is a victim of the "numbers" game.  We just have too many good short guys.
Right now is so ahead of JBrown in BB-IQ terms

sure. Difference is Gerald Green is 30 and a closed book. Rozier is 22 and can so obviously improve.

Of course. He may, or he may not. And even if this is true, you will still likely be able to sign a player like him off of the FA pool with relative ease. He should be largely irrelevant for any big picture plans you make at this point.
