Bender has been playing well lately. Bender, having just turned 19, has totaled 21 pts, 17 reb, 3 ast, 3 blk, 4 stl, and 3 3's in the last 2 games (54 minutes of action).

Quote
No one younger than Dragan Bender has posted a double-double since 2014.

And 1998 - 18 years ago - was the last time someone younger than Bender has posted a stat line as good as 11+ points, 13+ rebounds plus 3 steals and 2 blocks in the same game. At that was the uber-talented Tracy McGrady.

Quote
“I said it before, a lot of people compared him to different players,” Watson told Doug and Wolf Tuesday morning on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM. “I’ve always thought he was most like Lamar Odom — he can do a little bit of everything. Sometimes, he’s going to have 20-plus points, 10-plus rebounds and 10-plus assists all in the same game.

“You saw it (Monday) night, with his points, his rebounds, blocked shots and steals and hustle.”

Hey, look, Bender stringed together two half-decent games. Let's all lose our collective minds... again.

Also, garbage time.

Shhhh....Don't let people in on the fact you like to pass on misinformation pretending it's true.

Bender got on the floor early Monday. With less than three minutes remaining in the first quarter.

As for yesterday vs the Spurs....

In order to prove that his numbers weren't in garbage time, check this out vs the Spurs and pay attention to the score and time during the plays...

Yeah, Bender's minutes were not garbage time. He's getting a chance finally and is showing great signs so far on the floor. He puts up numbers across the board. He's still extremely young and thin too, his potential is very intriguing.

Yeah, that's my point. With his size, age, and overall skill-set his upside is sky-high.

Im not sure. the signs are very good in those two games. He was bad in summer league and has eclipsed 20 minutes 4x for the 9-23 Suns.

Not impressive.

That depends on what you expected from him. Considering that the consensus was that he was too young and raw to contribute this and and probably next year, I find his performance thus far impressive.

I think the idea that he was 1-2 years away at least from contributing deterred the Celtics from taking him. Ainge right off the bat on draft night said Brown could help them this year.

Yeah people said that he looked two years away from making a meaningful contribution. The way I see it he is still yet to make a meaningful contribution so Im yet to be impressed.

Especially on a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. Suns team you had to expect bender would have the odd good game.

It's perfectly fine to talk about Bender putting together consecutive good games.  He usually doesn't play much and finally got some minutes and produced.  We talked about Jamaal Murray having a good few games a couple weeks ago.  Bender produced.  Nobody is losing their minds by saying that.

Except people who insist that Danny is a bad drafter.
