Some guys are just physically more gifted than other guys.  I mean look at Bill Russell compared to pretty much everyone else in the league at the time.  Bill made them look weak and unathletic.  And then look at Bill next to Wilt.  Wilt dwarfed him.  Not just in height, but strength, speed, stamina, etc.  Wilt was just a physical athletic freak.  He was bench pressing 500 pounds in his 40's.  That was before steroids, HGH, etc.  Some guys just have physical traits that are other wordly.  I suspect that is Lebron.  Now sure maybe Lebron has been juicing since he was 13 or maybe he just is one of those rare physical specimens that comes along every so often.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I really hope he has 2 maybe 3 years of this high end play left....tired of this one man show...every year , its the same guy making the finals

i don't know...maybe he will be able to extend it to 5-6 years

if all he does is sit half the year...picks his nose...chummy up with the refs

then suit up in the 2nd part of the year ...stroll into the playoffs (even 6th place) doesn't matter...and turn on the jets in the playoffs

I think he will be a top 5 player for the next 4-5 years barring injury.

Problem is that after that he could just move to the 4 and play at an all star level until he's like 45

Until the NBA gets harsher drug testing, I expect him -- and some others in the league -- to perform at a very high level deep into their 30s. Get used to it.

Keep in mind that Serena Williams is still dominating in her mid-30s a sport where women were usually done toast by 25. Things have changed. And I think the truth is that the chemical assistance that many of these athletes avail themselves of have changed.

Cynical to say but agree.

wow i actually never knew that, i had to google that info lol. Based on Wilt's frame and look, i would NEVER imagine him benching 500. But yea I do see LeBron playing very well into 40 years old, father time will catch up to him but even then, even when he slows down, I think he can still be effective

I'm more worried his constant talking/instructing to the refs.....

its like he is brainwashing them

The best person to ask would be whoever is managing his.. Uh.. "supplements."

Indeed.

And just so I'm not only applying this to players who I don't particularly like, Manu Ginobili dunking multiple times in playoff games at age 39 has my eyebrows raised.

the nba does not really have much of a drug policy for HGH or Steroids right?

when was the last time an athlete was caught having these substances in their body

yet the NBA cracks down on athletes who smoke weed left and right lol

NBA to athletes:  As long as you are not lazy, couchlocked...don't care what else you do

I think we'll see some significant signs of slow down by this time next year. And then another drop for the next two years. He'll probably retire at that point rather than become a role player. But he'll still be All NBA for at least two of those years and then maybe just an All Star for the last one.

Maybe we can get some of his "Supplements" for Jaylen and Fultz.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Jaylen is a strong kid...semi man child

in a year or two... he is going to look like a monster I predict... like a corey maggette

LeBron came out of HS like a 26 year old man (HGH)...Kobe was a skinny kid.

In the 90s got fed up of MJ that I wanted some other team to just beat him up..well no one ever did..I mean had he not retired in 93 he would have gone to the finals during the times he was retired...then he came back in 96 and still dominated upto 98.
Now we have Lebron who is stronger and frankly more dominant physically. He has been dominating the East since 2011 and there seems to be no signs of a let up unless he encounters a freak injury. Could literally play competitive til age 40 which is 8 more yrs of domination..that is unprecedented.
Im guessing some team from the east will eventually topple him and his Cavs but probably not in the next 2 yrs. Because I still can't see any other team in the east with enoughfire power to stop them...could be us but we need a KD type superstar to help IT and Horford. Hayward Butler and George are sadly not enough.
