I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

boy, westbrook just had two great great shots. cant stop that.

oh well. without an unconscious sabonis the celtics win this one. i found the two team well matchined in talent levels.

celtics should have won, but missed too many bunnies. thus it goes sometimes.

Isn't this what usually happens in Celtics losses lately? Some unproven player scores a career high, or the opponent hits a bunch of insane shots? Funny how often it happens to Boston.
what quite sure that this has a point.

Point No. 1 is that Boston has a habit of allowing lesser players to have success against them, like Sabonis and Kanter each getting 20 tonight, or Davis Bertans in the first Spurs game.

Point No. 2 is that Boston seems to have quite a few games in which the opponent "just has one of those insane hot-shooting nights," but don't worry, we're told, it doesn't happen often. Except it does.

We played really good tonight and just off a 4 game winning streak and got beat at the end by possible MVP. Celtics look good.

I guess Boston's performance could be considered pretty good, but the Cs were outshot 51-44% overall, 42-32% on threes, and it wouldn't have been so close at the end if OKC could've hit a decent amount of FTs.

what is he doing or saying?

just his facial expressions.  he was frozen when they came back from the game then was pumping up westbrook and then was beating himself up for doing it.

Olynyk and Crowder really played poorly. KO did nothing, and Crowder did next to nothing. Other than IT the C's just have no real clutch shooting. Not a single player that you can go to other than IT.

I think Sabonis needed someone to find him a little earlier in the flow of play... ALL GAME LONG.

Kanter abused our 2nd line bigs most of the night as expected.

Lets not even talk about the refs.

No one should freak out about losing a tough game against a good team after a four game winning streak.  But you've got to win some of these kind of games if you want to be anything more than another first round playoff failure.

Hahaha, I love Steven Adams:

Look at Memphis tonight they beat Houston. We just beat these guys a few nights ago. It's been a tough schedule this week and The Celtics have played well. A few calls and a couple more made shots and this could've just as easily been a win.

IT looks more confident now (and last game) than at any time in his career. I think he may will us to a win here...

I'd like to nominate this for the dumbest + most inaccurate post in the thread.

Russ is a cocky little ****.  Hope his one-man show is all he has ever dreamtd of 'cuz there's no chance of him even sniffing a title in OKC.

Yeah, he can have these kinds of games until the cows come home, but OKC (as constructed) has virtually no shot at a title. If Westbrook can even sustain this pace the rest of the season, he'll hit a wall in the playoffs.
Well they do have some threats like oladipo (some thought he was going to be an all star when he was playing with the magic, he's still young and has room to improve), kanter, sabonis and even adams (has a nice little post up game) to take some pressure off of westbrook. They also have an ok backup PG with some upside in cameron Payne. If they play at their absolute best in the playoffs I think Westbrook has a tiny chance of getting into the finals ala LeBron in 2015 and in the finals it's fair game.

Been with my son at the hospital all evening, so I missed the game. Saw that Westbrook went off on us. What else happened and how did we play?

I didn't get to watch it, but the consensus (from what I gather on CB) is that the Cs played a pretty good game, with some bright moments from JB and Smart, a great fourth from IT, but no one could slow Westbrook.

More importantly, what's wrong with your son? I hope everything's going to be alright.

Oh, nothing too serious. He has an RSV infection and slight pneumonia, and as a 1.5 year old it has just taken a toll on him, especially with rapid respiration and decreased O2 levels. They're keeping us overnight for observation to monitor his levels. Sucky part is we're away from home at our families for Christmas, who we don't get to see too much. We're hoping to be out in the morning.

Thank you for your thoughts! TP!
