we fans should belittle those critics as saboteurs of bostons teams

The media is a crazy train Rollie. I've been saying this for years though.

Ainge traded for IT and Crowder. Even Amir.  None of these guys are on the block per sey.

IT is the catalyst on this team.

I don't mind people suggesting things though.  People will sell you on ideas that aren't it though.  Stick to your guns.

This team is being built with IT being the catalyst being able to get to the basket and create as we spread the floor.

Someone told me a while ago we need so and so.  Durant was our target.  No one is untradeable I was told.  I still say players on this team are more untradeable than tradeable and the goal  is to get a guy like IT up in the rafters and to retire here.  Some guys may not be  here forever as we adjust.  Even Pierce and KG weren't.  This is where Ainge differs from Red but I like to think we are getting back to the loyalty the celtics used to show.

Ainge got scared with Bird's injuries.  LEn Bias's death. Reggie Lewis. It's a different game now though. Better medical care etc.

The goal should be to get these guys in the rafters.

Ainge is a realist that way but also an idealist.  I used to be much more an idealist but am open to different things.  That's not to say I would do those things.

Felger suggested we are better without IT.  People fight him on it. It is what it is. It's just a lot of talk.

Some people are really trying to sabotage us but others aren't.

The way i see it I just try to annoy those people in reverse. In reality I love watching the games and am one of the most positive people about what this team is trying to do.

I was listenig to IT and his reaction to rumors.  There are so many ridiculous rumors out there not just about IT but a lot of guys on this team. 

We are getting back to what we used to do  l earning when to turn it up and when to do what.  That's what great teams do.  Make it look easy and then drive it down their throat. 

IT is young and if it motivates him good.  There are smart people out there though that get what this team is doing.  I feel the same way he does sometimes.  I know who I am. Not worried about it.

We have a lot of good players.  Teams should want our players too.  We just aren't trading them for something that doesn't fit what we are trying to do.

When Red would light up a cigar it basically was that.  A lot of work and tweaking and adjusting and ultimately success. For the city and fans and everyone. Red was basically trash talking but on a deeper level than that.

When I used to go to the garden Red was always the first guy I would spot. I remember watching pierce have a great game and listening the fans chanting for Greg Oden as Pierce was playing his heart out in a loss as Al J and Wally Szerbiak were consoling him.

The chants for Oden were strong that game.   A lot of people thought we should trade Pierce too.

different time and different players though.  I wanted Durant then anyways and when we went after him here.  Boogie isn't Oden here but has some injury concerns.  It will be alright.

I listened to fans boo AB, Smart and Jaylen too.  I wanted all these guys.  Embiid chants galore.  Wiggins.   It will  be alright.  Buddy Hield was everyones binkie.

Fans want stars.  They are right sometimes but not much.   I did like Curry and Durant though.  Paul George.

Ainge found  IT.   He was the last pick in teh draft and is the little guy here and a good fit.

I don't think any player is the end all be all on this team where we wouldn't transition if it makes sense though.   Even pierce got traded when it was time to do that.

people used to always say oh you got to trade pierce for lebron.  Even t hat used to p--- me off.  The celtics do things differently.  If pierce fits and laballhog doesnt it's  no good.  I think I've just gotten used to it.

I love Tommy too. These are the guys i look for because they are loyal.  I remember chastising laimbeer at the garden too.  It's all just fun.

i was finished recently with james young because he just wasn't playing with any energy and he was flawed-i was not a fan of drafting 18year olds to begin with
rj just outplayed the boy ,both came advertised as shooters but couldn't produce
i'm a nader fan because i think he has the height and 7-1 wingspan  and i feel like he has the  body and mentality with ability to hit his threes in nba
 stevens, i think has the style like pop to build a team that plays and stays together
-so maybe we get some guys in the rafters  and a banner, ainge could pull in a free agent and do a trade-isaiah is a 5-9 superstar but not a superstar but he is an all star
ainge has done an incredible job securing assets without tanking,getting al horford and hiring brad stevens
i just think it is counter productive to the guys who put out ,who are making the celtics relevant again to hear some ground swell started by professional bashers and rumor mongers

I agree.  A lot of it is opposing teams trying to create leverage.  Even our own media does it.  People don't really look at what the celtics are trying to do.  Maybe these people really feel that way.  Some do  I think.  Some of it is intentional.  Other people really just think that way.

I'd be ok if we trade James young but still like him.  Nader is good too.  We have a lot of flexibility with players like that.

People are people.  Some are just kids at the games with their parents. 

Even the garden can get pretty negative sometimes.  But other  times it gets really exciting.  Some people don't follow the celtics like i do.  I've come to just accept that.

 A lot of people are quicker to judge than I am. I know that. 

Even when I say things I'm more just trying to find what fits.  That changes over time.  There are certain guys i like and don't. 

Most of the celtics I like.  I like all of them.

I know how I see it. Sometimes i dont and am trying to figure that out.

People have opinions.  Sometimes they are right. Sometimes they aren't.

Nice.  All those are good values.  I live sort of near cousy.  Played on some of the courts he did but haven't met him.

One of the courts I played on the groundskeeper told me Cousy used to play there though.
