I can safely say the time to relax is over.

Why?  Because the Celts are on track to finish in the middle of the Eastern Conference playoff picture?  Because they look good enough to make the second round if they have decent luck and health, but go no further than that?

That doesn't shock me.

The record isn't quite what I expected -- they're only on track for 44 wins right now -- but otherwise it's mostly what I thought, except that they're better on offense than defense.

I honestly feel like people don't understand injuries and how they impact a team.

Yeah, these comments tend to support this thesis. Funny thing is that Celticsblog posters would also be the same ones to point to other teams missing stars when we beat them. Funny how that works.

So you're saying we're better than Toronto when healthy right? And you're also saying we'll do pretty decent against contenders when we're healthy too right?

You must be smoking some strong stuff my friend cause unless we make a trade, that ain't true. We're going to at best get to 48-50 wins, and compete with Charlotte and the rest of the trash east. We are not on Toronto's level.

Fair enough. Personally, I do think we're on Toronto's level, and I don't think you can discount IT's absence in the game.

We also beat both Cleveland and GS in away games last year - the only team to do that last year. And I think we're better this year, though we certainly haven't reached that level yet due to some injuries and a slow start to the season.

I think people were doing this same dance last year about this time, but we picked it up afterwards. At least this year we have a legitimate excuse for our early season woes with our significant injury issues, and we should only get better from here on out.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.
